Weekly baths and a strong allergy medicaton for you boyfriend. It is possible to reduce to symptoms, but not eliminate them. Keep your dog brushed regularly, bathe him weekly, and have your man go on Nasonex and an indoor allergy med like Allegra or Claritin and there shouldn't be a huge problem. Also make sure Fido doesn't sleep in the same room as him.

You are actually thinking of giving up the dog for your boyfriend. Lets see. . .hmmm. . .1/2 of all marriages end in divorce, wonder what the rate is for non-committed relationships - would you guess maybe less than that? Keep the dog. A lot of times guys feign "allergies" because they don't like that your attention is given to anything other than them.It is often just the beginning of what you'll be asked to give up to show your "love" for them. Even if he has allergies, has he done anything to control them - like taking antihistamines for his allergies. Washing your dog weekly removes a lot of the dander; also there are some sprays available from the petstore and Febreze has a new product that reduces allergens on fabrics like your carpet & sofa. You can also keep the dog out of the bedroom, where your boyfriend would spend 7 or 8 or whatever hours per day & if he works or is in school, that ought to account for him being out of the house another 8 or so hours a day, so that should reduce his dog exposure considerably. If he handles the dog, pets it, etc, he should wash his hands immediately & so should you if you are touching the boyfriend. This can work, but it takes everybody WANTING to make it work. Does your boyfriend really want that, or not? If not, my suggestion is look for a new boyfriend - the world is full of people.

Dander often comes from dry risky dermis. For dogs there's a treatment; it incredibly is noted as Linatone. you may get it at Petsmart or order it on line from many puppy catalogs. yet differently to do away with dander is to softly run a vacuum with the gentle brush on it over the dogs. it would take time and a few treats to cajole a 4 yer previous dogs that a vacuuming is exciting even though it incredibly is executed. be careful around EYES AND EARS.

If the dander is from dry skin, try adding oily stuff to her diet. Or perhaps the vet can suggest a shampoo that won't dry her skin.

Meanwhile, your boyfriend can get treated for his allergies.

Good luck.
