If Yahoo were to make Christianity, Judaism, etc., sub-topics of Spirituality, those people wanting to ask and answers questions regarding basic spirituality wouldn’t have to deal with the criticism of religions folks. Some of us don't want to be converted - we just want to study the wonders of the spirit! We respect the beliefs of others and have no desire to convince anybody of anything.

I'm tired of having my answers rated negatively or be criticized by Christians or other groups, I think they should ask/answer in their own group, so the students of spirituality can converse without malice.

I wish everybody peace, health and abundance.

I have seen malice come from all sides here, my friend. Separating them will not prevent the hateful ones who post for reaction. Peace, Health and Abundance to you, as well.

R&S is for people of all spiritual walks. If you want an exclusive group, you can start a moderated yahoo group, and just talk to only those who agree with you...There is nothing that says you must answer every question you come to, and also nothing that keeps the people that you find bothersome from wandering in to "your" section of R&S, and bothering you there, there is no moderated "membership" on this board, that is what yahoo groups is for....May you also enjoy health, peace, and abundance as well.....

Would that be saying in a way that religious people aren't spiritual or vice versa? If given a choice, I'd opt for the "vice versa! So I would tend to agree with you! Yes... Let them fight amongst themselves and leave the true spiritual and peaceful ones in peace!

What an excellent idea!!! I'm not sure that would keep those that are preaching Vs. discussing the question at hand away, but it couldn't hurt. And to me they are 2 VERY separate topics.

I'd be thrilled if this happened (see you on the Spirituality side), but given how much Yahoo clumps together, I'm not sure they would go for it. But my very best luck if you can convince them of this excellent suggestion!

But Christ is the quintessential spiritual leader. He said "The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing." So it makes sense for Christians to spend time in a forum about spirituality, because for Christ the Spirit is everything. I don't think you can make a distinction between Christ and spirituality.

I see your point, but I think there are other categories worthy of being separated before religion and spirituality. For instance - marriage & divorce are together. They are two entirely different things.

Yes, I would also like it if the "gay, lesbian, etc." group from the culture section was moved to another section. I always start reading the questions which are so messed up sometime...
