When you are carrying a child and see that sonogram for the first time, believe me...that miracle of motherhood feeling overwhelms you! It is by far something that is impossible to describe to anyone who has not already experiened such a wonderful and miraculous thing. The instincts, love, and the hopeless need to nurture are all part of the package that is known as motherhood. By no means should you have a baby until you feel the time is right (whatever that may be), but when you do....it is a feeling only a mother knows!

Perfect example:
My mother was an only child to a very wealthy mother and father (my grandparents whom I love) who spoiled her to death! At 19, she got pregnant with my oldest sister. She's never seemed to have any other gene but maternal ones since then!
She says she is the perfect example to all women who want kids one day, but don't know if they can do it.
Before she had kids, she didn't really care about anyone else, she only thought of herself, and so forth. Now, my mom would give every organ in her body for someone in need. She really is a great example of how you will just change overnight - like, literally.

It's different when it's your own kids. Or at least it was for me. My ex bf had a daughter and she drove me insane but my own kids I love. Once you have your own kids you should feel different. I would wait until you want kids and feel the urge to be a mother, if you do. Your feelings are perfectly normal.

when you actually have yur own kid, it will be different. I babysit for my nephew when my brother is out of town, and I couldnt wait for him to get back so i could give him his kid back (sounds bad, but its true) Now im 7 months pregnant, and i cant imagine not wanting to be around my own baby. Trust me, when its your own, you'll have the maternal instinct and love being around your baby.
Good luck!!

Other kids acting rambunctious, being messy etc. might get on your nerves, but when it is your own it is totally different. I used to gag when I had to change diaper of other children or if they would get snot on me or something. But now I have my own I have gotten everything from poop to spit-up I even go for his boogers! LOL! Believe me when they are yours it's no biggie!
