I am a Christian and I do hunt. The old testament talks about hunting as something that was done for food. I also only hunt for the meat, however, the trophy part of it is the questionable part. It is a sign of pride but it is also boasting which are characteristics that a Christian tries not to have.

Why can you understand hunting for meet when Jesus strictly forbids animal slaughter. This is a sin and the Christians will pay for their Karma. What goes around comes around. Original 10 commandment 2- Ye shall not take away the life of any creature, no yet torment it. And 4- Ye shall not eat the flesh nor drink the blood of any slaughtered creature, nor yet anything which brings disorder to your health or senses."
There are so many mistranslated words on the topic of Meat eating. The words in the Bible of today, that originally meant food are now translated into English as meat.Example Greek to actual English meaning Broma=food- Brosis= the act of eating food -Phago= to eat Bromsimos That which may be eaten -Trophe= nourishment- PLrosphagon= anything to eat. John 215, says "Have ye any meat? which is incorrect it should say Have ye anything to eat? So many mistranslations that bring you to believe that Jesus advocated animal slaughter and meat eating when the original new testament prohibits humans from eating flesh. Google gospelofthenazirenes.com for the truth. That is what will set you free.

Doesnt make them Bad men for hanging deer heads on a wall.
This is there history, how they were brought up, what they were raised to do to have fun.

I can't quote word for word, but the bible does say that humans are to have domain over all the fishes of the sea, creatures of the earth. They were meat eaters in the bible, how do you think they did that without hunting. Displaying deer heads on the wall is a matter of taste, one of which doesn't bother me since I hunt and love to display what I've caught.

The bible says that the world was created for the use of people. Lots of people agree with you about hunting, but there is nothing against it in Christian theology. The people I find confusing are the ones who oppose hunting, but have no problem eating a hamburger.

It's all a matter of personal taste, I guess. I personally wouldn't want dead animals hanging up in my home, but I'm not offended if I see them hanging up in somebody else's. God gave man dominion over all of the animals in the world.
Genesis 1:27-28 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."
Genesis 9:3-4 Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. "But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.

I do not like game hunting, period. Not by atheists and not by Christians or any other groups. I just do not feel so strongly about it that I would take any particular stand against it.

How can a tradition that mandates the blood sacrifice of slaughtered animals possibly be opposed to hunting?
Try to understand the issues before you wonder how "wrong" someone else is.

Usually the meat is taken from the rest of the body, and the head is hung on the wall. They aren't just killing for decorative heads.
