My husband dropped my ring during the ceremony. We all got a little chuckle out of it. He just fumbled it trying to turn it the correct way to put on my finger.
It doesn't mean anything bad.

You're not supposed to see each other day of the wedding until you come walking down the aisle. There's also the one where you have to have something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue to wear for your wedding day. (My dress, veil, undergarments and shoes were new, my jewelry was old & borrowed, my engagement ring and wedding band were old, and my garter was blue). Then there's the daddy/bride dance, the first dance as a married couple, and some do the mother/groom dance. There's also the throwing of the rice (but people use birdseed or bubbles now, since rice kills birds), but we didn't do that one. There's also one about putting a penny in your shoe (sixpence in your shoe) for good luck. There's also the bachelor and bachelorette parties the night before, which most people now do the weekend before so you're not hungover the day of your wedding. Then there's the rehearsal dinner the night before. I can't really think of any others at the moment. Good luck on getting married!

If something goes wrong at the wedding, nothing goes wrong with the marriage -- this is an old wives tale, but it doesn't mean anything except that he dropped the wedding band.

Do you honestly think that when a person gets divorced, he or she sits back and thinks: "this is because he dropped the ring at the wedding" or "my marriage is ruined because he saw me in my dress before the wedding!"
The guy dropped the ring because he was nervous and his hands weren't working properly. End of story.

He didn't drop it. He was just testing the force of gravity. :P The only thing it meant was that he was nervous and was taking the ceremony so seriously, he let the ring slip out of his fingers. No big deal.

It means he's clumsy. My husband dropped my wedding ring on the chapels yellow and red tile before we got married. It took us forever to find it. I wasn't going to start the ceremony without it! But seriously, we've been married 7 years and I know he didn't do it on purpose.

it is just nerves, it would be like you shaking or hesitating at the end of the isle before walking to your groom. You are not worried about getting married you are just nervous about everyone looking at you or what people are thinking about you getting married. I wouldnt think anything of it

He has butter-fingers! I wouldn't think anything of it, people get nervous and their hands shake. I've seen it happen a few times. People usually laugh to make him feel ebtter and the wedding goes on!

It either means he's a klutz or he's nervous. But even if there is some crazy superstition, don't believe it. Marriage is not something that should be based on superstition.

It means absolutely nothing except he was nervous or butter fingers or it was merely an accident. It holds no superstitious conotatation as far as I know.
