I told a guy friend that sometimes I wish I was the right girl for him. He replied by saying well we are in two different cities. That he had done the long distance thing before and hated it. Since I took that as an "I'm not interested" I have tried to back off and move on. However I find that hard to do when he contacts me 3 times a week. I don't know what to do. I just don't see why a guy that is not interested would keep contacting me knowing I feel the way I do. when we are together it is like we are a couple. People even mistake us for one. that is what makes it confusing. he always talks about what he wants out of a relationship and sometimes says things like "they have jobs like that here too".

Long distance never works. I don't care what they say.

Thats why I left my ex. The strain it has on a relationship, i.e. not being able to see each other for long periods of time... etc...

He just wants you to sacrifice everything to move near him so he can have the convenience of being near you... like they say girl, plenty more fish in the sea - without sacrificing too much..

Hun, guys are easy to figure out!!! Did he tell you or give you a hint that he was nat interested in you with his friends around? If he did he was just trying to be tuff or playing hard to get! You did the right thing, and back off but now you need to play hard to get and if he wants to make plans say that you are meetting this really cute guy that night but if you really want him then yoiu ask if you guys can make plans the very next day and if he exepts your plans then you go!!! At the time you need to whine about the "horrible" date and you tell him what you are likeing for I a guy!!!

hope that this helps!!!
p.s don't flirt at all on till you are starting to date wether you ask him or he askes you!!!

and hun long distance NEVER works you for sure can't trust him no matter what any one saids

That is really hard for you. I am sorry. My advice is to talk to him about it. This reminds me of a situation in a movie... have you ever seen the Holiday? Well if not you should rent it just for this reason. Well it is not exactly the same but close enough. You need to tell him that either you two should be in a relationship or not. There is no inbetweens. That is what is he is doing. It seems like he wants you, but he dosen't want the commitment. Talk to him! Good luck!

I have noticed that many guys are both simple and transparent when it comes to relationships. I would say he is attracted to you and that he was honest about not wanting a long distance relationship. Talk to him about if that really is his problem. If you want to be with him and there are jobs like yours in his city maybe you could get one and move there.

One of my now x girlfriends had moved across the country and as some one who has tried it . It won't work . They go places with friends met other people and as in my case could not even tell me her self she was dating someone else. She called a friend of both of ours to let me know not to wait for her. We had a serious relation ship at the time. Move on .

Sorry to say this but, he was honest and told you how he feels. If you do not want his friendship any longer than you need to tell him you can't handle anymore communication with him. you were friends first, he may only be calling you as a friend.

If he is calling you and leading you on, then he is using you. He knows you like him so you are now back-up just in case something happens with his present girlfriend.

maybe you took "we're in different cities" the wrong way. it seems that he likes you maybe even loves you. but he may want you to move to his city, so it's not a long distance relationship. if he does like you and he's not telling you maybe he's affraid of losing you as a good friend.

I think he's trying to get you to give more then a hint. Maybe he's afraid to assume you like him, why not tell him, really lay the cards on the table. If he still contacts you knowing you like him a bit, then theres something there.

Maybe you should try to be friends, you're not loosing anything by talking to him once in a while! there are a lot of people out there to move on with. very soon he'll mean nothing, once you put your mind to it
