I do! Undocumented people are hard working people that come here for a better life for them and their family. It shouldn't be a crime to work and try to earn a living in another country.

First off let me say that Metro900 is a ******* ********!! If I broke the law I would be punished,as would you !! there is no room for special rights by any name!! The system needs a serious re-working to get it to the right place--by the way before you say I'm a racist just know that I am Hispanic-- a simple economics class will show you why this bill will not work-for example ,if there is no penalty for not paying back taxes-which does happen!!- then who couldn't just sue the government for making them pay taxes!! It sounds like there is a lot of misinformed people that are supporting this bill and others that are similar-as soon as people start to receive special rights then others will expect them too!! It's a shame that everyone is thinking it is us against them instead of working together and it really doesn't help when people offer their opinions before educating themselves on what they are saying

No,it should not pass. Giving millions of people immediate temporary legal status is indeed amnesty. The background checks for this temporary status is a joke,it has to be done in 24 hrs. Millions of criminals with very serious offenses will now be free to live and work in this country with no questions asked. We need to do better for our children. We need our borders secured FIRST before any other measures can be taken.

I hear you to say that you believe in rewarding an ILLEGAL act. Do you have kids, how do you handle that issue with them? Also, what about the people that did it right and are waiting? No way should this pass. The illegals should be deported with a criminal record never to return.

Good, we know who we can send the bill to then. No I do not agree. We gave amnesty to 9 million in 86, it turned into 20 million illegals today. Sorry....no more free passes.

What a straightforward question. You are brave!

Don't call it amnesty. Like the first poster said, amnesty would be an automatic green card. There are too many hoops to jump through and requirements for this to be amnesty. And yes I do support legalization. I can actually go either way on the CIR legislation, but am 110% for the legislation allowing young undocumented students who spent most of their lives here to qualify for in-state tuition and state aid for college.

No amnesty for undocumented. They broke our law coming here and should not be rewarded for criminal behavior.

Sure. Just as soon as we give amnesty to all the criminals in our prisons. Let's let them go free too. Illegal=Felon No Amnesty for Felons.

I don't!!

If they want to stay in the US they should go through the NORMAL process like every other immigrant did when they came to the US!! They learned to speak English and became American citizens the right way!!!

Why should ILLEGALS get "special treatment" aka amnesty?????????????

2007-06-11 08:29:42 · answer #9 · answered by mikea_va 6 · 4 3

Hell no I don't think it should pass. Americans don't want to give from 12 to 20 million illegal immigrants amnsesty. We want them deported! NO AMNESTY!!!
