Maybe a new grill utensil, like one of those wire brushes, or a heavy duty spatula. Or, some fishing bait (not live worms of course). You could do a new neat tool from sears... you'd have to go and take a look around. Make a card yourself, and wrap in the comics section from the newspaper. That will save you some money. Good luck!

Well im not a dad lol but i think this is a really cool idea its around 15 through 20 dollars and its a remote control beeper. you attach it to the remote control and when u cant find the remote control (because from experience i know how often dads lose the tv control lol) u just blow in the provided whistle and itll beep. it comes with a little pouch u can attach to the side of the tv so u place the whistle there. just buy a 3 dollar gift wrapping and a 2 dollar card. You can find it in the mall and its called something like find the remote or tv remote beeper. Good luck!

Ok, so I'm obviously not a dad but, what about a picnic together? You preparing it is affordable and show that you put time and effort into the gift. (do his favorite desert or type of sandwich) The time you share together will matter more in the end than the things you buy. If you want to do a gift, wrap up a picture of the two of you together and give it to him on your picnic. (even an old one from your mom could be cute!)

I don't think you're going to get a good answer here. Nobody out here knows him. Get him something that supports something he likes to do. For example, if he likes to cook, get him something for the kitchen. If he's mechanical, maybe a tool he needs (maybe not so easy in your price range.) Does he golf? Get him a nice set up golf balls. The best gifts are something a person wants but won't buy for themself.
Does he play cards? How about an electric card shuffler?

The best gift I get from my kids is we spend the entire day together without any interruption. We do things together. We go fishing, parks, movies, hiking, picnics, cooking, playing video games and just hanging out in the house.
There is noting like personal time with kids. It's priceless.
Happy father's day.

Dads all like food, and they all have some favorite that they don't get often (like some big, special steak for the grill, or one of those big popcorn tins). I also know Dad's like nothing mroe form their kids than time; a date with you at an ice cream place would be a winner.

A great picture of you and him together during a fun time or a picture he doesn't realize has been taken of the two of you!
I have one at my wedding of my dad and I looking at each other. I remember how I felt and how he felt every time I look at it.
He's been gone over 14 years now...I still love my picture! He had one too!~

Is your dad working? Get him some desk stationary - like business card holder, and matching pens holder and a cute standing paperclip.

Maybe a nice framed enlarged picture of both of you.
Especially of a time when you had fun together.
You could even do a collage of you growing up.
This would look great on his desk at work,
or in his home office.

I am not a dad, but does he like a certain hobby such as golf, bowling, fishing, hunting. If so, that get him something pertaining to his hobby. If he likes movies, get him a set of movies according to what he likes, drama, comedy, classics, oldies. Some men liked to get clothes, some like outdoor things. It depends on what your father likes.
