I had a dream where I used a razor blade to slice open my breasts and pull out the contents. I put them on a plate, looked at them deflated in the mirror and shoved them back in again.

I want to know what this could be all about? I'm not suicidal, I don't self-harm and I don't watch plastic surgery shows.

You may not be suicidal. But you have some self esteem issue.

Dreaming of hurting or magnifying own body in dream often means that there are some low self esteem issue. In your case, whether your breasts are large or small, subconsciously you do not like them as they are to you in reality. It may be due to curiosity; however, it is more or less about your self confidence being low. You may want more people to notice. In other words, you may be seeking for attention in some way.

I've had dreams about self-mutilation as well, usually when I'm undergoing a period of frustration or high stress. To me it connotes a need to slow down and give myself time to absorb all that is going on, or to be introspective in my own mental processes.

I don't think it has to do with body image unless you are worried about it in general during your waking hours, and suicidal thoughts tend to be about that - suicide - not about self-mutilation.

Perhaps giving yourself time before you go to bed to meditate, clear your mind, listen to some calming music may help you avoid any other disturbing dreams.

It sounds like you are having self-confidence issues. I'm guessing your breasts represent personal things about you that you do or like, that other people don't like, and by cutting them out, you believe that cutting out pieces of your personal, private soul issues you will solve your problems, but you realize that you were no better but worse with those problems cut out, and chose to put them back in and keep them rather than sacrifice them.
You might want to look out for things in your life you like or behaviors you have been trying to change to make others like you better. They seem to be things that are very much an important part of your soul that you are not ready to lose or change right now.
You might want to privately confront your critics and ask why it is so important for you to change for them, and ask them why you are undeserving of their forgiveness for just being you. Perhaps if they really cannot accept you for who you are, flaws and all, they don't deserve YOUR friendship!

To dream that someone or something is mutilated, indicates that your integrity is put into question.
