Boyfriend as in someone to hang with, or as in sleeping with him?

I won't allow my children to date until they're 16. I honestly cannot think of one good reason why a child should date. They're way too young to need a relationship (they should be focused on school and personality development).

I am convinced (having finally graduated from college at 34), that you shouldn't get into a serious relationship until after you graduate college. By then you've been on your own a while, and have been encouraged to exercise independant thinking.

However, my oldest son married at 18, has a lovely wife and they have a baby on the way. I would have PREFERRED they wait, but I adore my daughter-in-law. My son loves her...and I want him to be happy.

I'm sure that you'll hear "you're too young" from many people besides myself. Most younger people don't really believe that...until they're thirty, LOL!!!

Just be good. Don't give in to any sexual demands. Be true to yourself. Develop your own ideas.

Sweetie, Many will say yes but for your own sake wait until 18. You will find that it will consume you and you may miss out on getting a good education and time with your family ! In a few years your carefree youth will be gone and life in the real world begins.

I think it is. Well, I didn't have one at 15. I had one at 16. But it was weird. I would like it if I was older.
