A guy tells people that he normally against relationships.. but he is with someone and he thinks she is awesome b/c... She loves sex just a much as he does and she's fun and laid back. Sometimes like one of the guys.. could this be the only reason he is with her? B/c shes a nimpho?? B/c she can drink him under the table?? Would this be something for her to try and stick around for? Just another jerk guy who only gives a **** about sex and getting drunk? Whatever happened to loving someone for who they are? I know that is part of who she is... but there should be more to it. Is he just trying to sound cool to his friends?. I don't get this

Unlike most girls....guys don't WANT relationships until they get more mature. They want something without strings. That's what he has found.

Whats to understand. The guy needs to grow up and eventually he will. For now he is fighting it every step of the way. Why? Well to some guys the thought of responsibility is too scary to handle. For some they have responsibility but do not want to take responsibility. It all comes crashing down eventually..
Face it... if that is the kind of guy that he is then you don't need to worry. The life of free love and hard drink only goes so far before the alcohol gets to be too much and then the rest just starts to fall apart.

This is a prime example of macho in action. Men believe being cynical about relationships is cool (for me it is more of a "been hurt too often" thing than a macho thing, but that is another story all together). Therefore when they find themselves having feels, especially those normally associated with the "softer" sex, like love, they find "macho" reasons to justify what would otherwise be viewed as "weak".

Either that or I really am the exception to nearly all rules of the male of our species. LOL

A guy can truly enjoy being with a woman who shares his interests that you have mentioned. That doesn't mean he loves her. On the other hand a guy can be deeply in love with a girl who doesn't have the same interests - as long as she does have some basic common ground.

Personally I see nothing wrong with hanging with a girl cause she likes sex and is fun to be with. Don't you think she could feel the same way?

Sounds like a jerk. He stated from the beginning he doesn't believe in relationships and it is quite obvious he is only in it for the sex. This guy doesn't deserve a second thought.

Sounds like this girl is onto something you haven't quite picked up yet... called the 'treat them like they treat you mentality"...if he's treating you like a friend - treat him like a friend. Don't let yourself get in over your head with someone that doesn't want more than you do. He's with her because that's what he wants and that's what she's giving him. You're not like that - so find someone more like you and don't wast time trying to convince yourself of reasons why he should be with you.

well it will not last very long, because he is getting what he want and will be tired of it soon. he don't love her at all, just the sex and hanging out with her because she does what he does. that isn't a good relationship. someone is going to fall

Relationships like that don't last, there has to be more.

He's probably just filling the void for now until someone more intriqueing comes along.

it sounds like you truly care for her but sometimes relationships just don't ever get really serious. If she is looking for a serious relationship then maybe you should talk to him and see what he really feels
