I personally think that they would. I think the main reason anyone rejects the Bible is because it doesn't allow them to live however they want. If it were possible to believe in the Bible without having to live by its morals and rules, the number of believers would probably double.

*edit*

Thanks JayDee for the "Bingo." I'm glad someone else out there "gets it." It's really sad to see all the thumbs down simply because some find the truth to be a hard pill to swallow. God bless.

on the contrary science has never found anything to contradict the bible. Humans have come up with theory's, theory means a guess (look it up). I think SOME atheist do not give the bible a chance because they would in turn have to answer to a higher power. I do not think your question is true because some religions teach that there is no hell and everyone will go to heaven (so basically a good ending) but there are still atheist... There are lots of reasons people don't turn to religion. I am glad that I did on the other hand because it made me a better person and as much as i would love to have everyone believe what i believe I know it wont happen.
good day
god bless =)

Jesus never condemn atheists or non believers therefore the Bible does not have a "bad ending" for atheists although there are many atheists and Christians who might be confused about that.

In the "Good Samaritan" when Jesus was telling us what we must do to follow Him, notice the man who "loved his neighbor" was an atheist!

Jesus also said "not those who say to Me Lord Lord but those who do the will of my Father".

The Catholic church teaches that there are 3 baptisms through all of which a person can enter into Heaven:

1. Baptism by water - this is the formal Baptism a Catholic receives when entering the church
2. Baptism by blood - this is when someone, anyone, dies FOR the church (regardless of what religion - they are considered same as baptized)

and finally...

3. Baptism by desire - this is when a person does not know the Lord but tries in the best way they can, to do good and to love others. Many atheists will enter Heaven through a baptism by desire - they are saved THROUGH Jesus because even though they do not know Him, they are loving and serving Him by doing the "Will of" His Father.

Therefore the Bible does NOT have a bad ending for atheists.

I feel atheists do not believe in the Bible because the atheist literature has a confused bunch of verses quoted out of context and also many Christians do not know their Bible or faith well enough to explain it to others. Being judgmental should NEVER be a part of Christianity and Jesus was extremely concerned about how judgmental the pharisees were. (even though they were very religious people)

What, a sort of "Where's Wally?" perhaps..?
"There are some good bits hidden in here, you've just got to find them by careful observation..."

A bit difficult really. Since the bible appears to call atheists "fools" right there in the middle, a happy ending would only add to the inconsistency.

Mind you, I do like Ecclesiastes, even so.

Edit:
" I just stand for the ONE true one."
Well yes, you would say that, wouldn't you?
But confident belief doesn't of necessity equal true belief, or you'd have to acknowledge the true belief of those who were absolutely certain Muslims, Buddhists...
If you can't see *that*, or how other people's certainty stands in relation to yours, you are having trouble in an area in psychology known as "a theory of mind".

I stopped believing in the Christian bible long before I stopped believing in something called 'God'.

Maybe you should read some of the answers to this and similar questions. Then you'd know a bit more about atheists and you wouldn't have to make up reasons for us.

My problem with the bible isn't the end, it's the beginning. Genesis isn't literally true so that throws everything the bible open to question. Likewise with the story of Noah and the flood, similar stories existed for more than a 1000 years before the estimated time of Noah.
I'm not expecting you to agree with me or convince you of anything. I'm simply answering your question by telling you that, in my case, your premise is flawed.
RESPONSE - No, you don't see. Not really. That's your problem.

Nope. If that was what I was concerned with - you know, instead of the truth - then I wouldn't have left Christianity in the first place.

Try again.

*Edit* - and with thousands of denominations and the vast array of varying beliefs within your own religion, I'm sure there's plenty of Christians who would say the same about you.

Once again, try again.

Yep I am waiting for the part that says
"And God, Christians, atheist, agnostics, Jewish, Muslims and all the little puppies and kitties lived happily ever after"

But then again Snow White has a happy ending and I still have a little trouble convincing myself.

Atheists don't believe in a deity. It doesn't matter whether the story has a "happy" or "sad" ending. We don't believe in an invisible, magical, super-being in the sky. We also don't believe in the boogy-man or the tooth fairy. Believing in Santa Claus brings a happy ending, and we don't believe in him, either.

It'd be a bit easier to believe if it didn't have so many contradictions with what we know to be fact now.
