Typically how many of you where satisfied from getting waxed. How long does it last?

I just hate shaving my legs and other places all the time. My hair is dark in color since I am a brunette. And it never looks like I shave even though I do. I want something to prolong having to remove the hair from my legs.

Waxing Hints:
-To reduce pain and/or redness take 2 anti-inflammatory caplets and antacids about 1 hour before appointment.

-If breakouts occur you can use witch hazel or a gentle antiseptic. Inform your esthetician if breakouts occurred so she will not apply an oily cream after waxing.

-For excessive redness or discomfort use antibiotic ointment with a pain reliever in it. Pure aloe vera gel, ice, and cold compresses are also helpful in reducing pain.

-In case of over exfoliation of the skin with any waxing, use an antibiotic ointment and keep the area moist.

-Moisturizing after waxing varies depending on the skin of the individual. For breakout prone clients it is best not to moisturize. An antiseptic or antibiotic ointment is a better alternative.

-Moisturizing before waxing is recommended only for clients with extremely dry skin.

-Tanning should not be done 24 hours before or after waxing.

Waxing is a temporary method of hair removal, which removes the hair from the root. New hairs will not grow back in the previously waxed area for three to eight weeks. Almost any area of the body can be waxed, including eyebrows, face, bikini area, legs, arms, back, abdomen and feet.

New hair growth in waxed areas is soft and fine, not sharp and coarse like shaved hair. After repeated waxing for areas like the eyebrows and lower legs, hair regrowth is less common and eventually the hair will never regrow.

I LOVE IT!! There is no time limit because everyones bodies and hormones are different. My Mom had it done on her legs and it did not grow back for months. I was back in a couple of weeks.

it is helpful.. Waxing after time helps make the hair thinner and less hair grows back.... Plus for anyone wit sensitive skin, they do have sensitive skin wax formula and formula that is hypoallergenic for those that are allergic.. Its better than shaving .... because basically you have to shave almost everyday!!! (yuck) anyway.. if you do decide to wax.. be sure to exfoliate the areas to be waxed and to take a good hott shower before.. the heat helps open the pores and soften the hair for easier hair removal... Good luck... oh and BTW... its a good option to wax if you dont have money for laser treatments or electrolysis treatments which are meant for permanent hair removal

It is better than shaving, because it removes the hair from the root, so it takes longer to come out.
Plus the hair grows back thinner.
It lasts around 3 weeks, but it varies from person to person.

If you have fine hair that is somewhat sparse, waxing will work for you. If you have thicker more coarse type hair that grows quickly, I would not recommend waxing.
