Well, I did what everyone said. I downloaded a DVD Reader Software thing. I'm using DVD X Player, a free trial currently, but whenever I insert a DVD it says I must insert it into drive E:. So I went to My Computer > Drive E: and it says there is no disk that is being read. Why? :| I hope this is more information that may help you figure out my problem than in the last question. Thanks.

Edit: Alright, I need a DVD Drive. Where do I get one, do I have to buy it?
And my computer is not /too/ old, I think we got it in 2001 or 2002.

If the DVD was was not prepared commercially (like a movie or software distribution), the DVD might not be the correct type of media for your particular drive. There are different types of dvds: +R, -R, +RW, -RW, and DVD-RAM, and most drives read all of these formats, but not all drives do. You can check your drive's capabilities with the tool at the link below.

Otherwise, you might try going to the Device manager (Control Panel-->System--> Hardware-->Device Manger-->DVD/CD drives) and uninstall the DVD drive. Then restart your computer. The computer should find the "new hardware" and reload all of the drivers.

That's the only things I can think of.

The software recognizes E: as your DVD ROM. Is it possible that you have more than one DVD in your PC? The software may be choosing the first available DVD drive. Check the software for available playback drives.

My guesses for this are:
A: you do not have a DVD drive
B: The disc you are using could be messed up, try another
