I obviously opened a can of worms, my point was that is if he thinks he can receive absolution through the church he`s got it wrong.
I have known dozens of Catholics who are under the misunderstanding that they can do the most dreadful things, go to church and ten Hail Marys later the slate is clean.
The biggest laugh is if he`s made a Deacon after the heinous crimes he has committed, says a lot about the Catholic church.

What is wrong with papal infallibilty? It says right in Scripture that the Holy Spirit guides the Church Christ founded. By not having faith in the Pope to correct, reprove and instruct, you may as well be saying you don't have faith in the Holy Spirit
You need to lay off the drugs and try living in the real world for awhile. If you truly want to know about God, then quit thinking you already know all you need to know and dismiss the possibility there is a God. Find a good Christian church (I would suggest Catholic Church ) and study what they believe. Then and only then could you make an informed decision about what true FAITH is all about. May God Bless Tony Blair! I think he is doing a great thing. God forgives all and yes absolution is granted through reconciliation(confession) in the Church. Look at St.Paul who hurt Christians and then became an Apostle of Christ and a great Saint.

Tony Blair has a guilty feeling and is looking to appease his god given conscience. He is responsible for British people going out and breaking the principle ' you shall not kill anyone. no one has that right. and whoever is taking another man's life god will ask it back from him.'
Sending people to kill and get killed is causing Mr Blair to lose sleep i think. he has lost his peace and joy. The catholic church has fallen and is on its way out. Soon, the grip of the church over people will be gone forever unless the anti christ gets his wand out..

I am sure he knows better than that his wife is catholic he was not but will use any publicity he thinks is good. I feel it is wrong to use the pope.
