I 've been asked to paint tattoos on a fondant covered wedding cake. What's the best technique to use?

Get powdered food coloring from a cake/candy supply store.Add just enough water to a little of the powder to make a pasty consistency.Use small stiff bristle paint brushes to paint.Start on extra piece of fondant to test out your technique and then adjust the color with more water/powder until you get it right.

Edible black paint or other colors I guess if they want them, use the finest tip of a paint brush you can find if you plan on doing them free hand.
