There can be victory. As another post said, lay the sin at Jesus' feet. The only reason a sin is besetting is because you like to do it. The problem I see with many people who try to be Christian is they want to be Christian, but have a hard time giving up the things of the world. Christ said a man cannot serve two masters, but that is precisely what many of us try to do. When you totally, whole-heartedly decide to just serve Christ, your sins are left behind and you do not feel this bondage to sin anymore. The problem is that for many it takes time to begin to see things with spiritual eyes and have the faith enough to make this leap.

There is victory if you don't stop battling your sin. I have been engaged in a battle with a particular sin for more than ten years, and it is only in this last year that I have finally had success against it. Pray and fast and every time you fall, get up off the ground, repent and keep fighting. God is merciful and forgiving and He will help you escape the slavery of sin.

The victory was the resurrection Calvary was the low point.
Even the most ardent Christian can just walk away if he wants to so there is no bondage other than a voluntary one( no jokes please) Only slaves and prisoners can not walk away. Where is the bondage did you say? .

God has always allowed for a way out of sin & weakness, but it has to begin in your heart. You have to REALLY want to get past whatever is holding your spirit down. Then and only then will there be enough room in your heart for the love of Christ to begin to work FOR you. The next step is just as important though - begin and sustain an honest conversation with your heavenly father, and he will begin to work a mighty change in your life!

Yes. The victory won at Calvary. Even Paul struggled with the war between the flesh and the spirit -
ROMANS 7:
14For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
15For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Yes! It's not about our righteousness, it's about His. As long as we continue to repent and receive the atoning blood of Jesus, their is victory.
It is His victory, not ours!
