No. this is not uncommon for both sexes. when I was in 2nd grade I had a big crush on my teacher. She was in her 30s. it did not hurt me any. But if you are under the age of 26, I would wait about approaching any grown man. A woman is still a girl until she passes 26 years of age. Boys are not men until they are in their 30s.

i agree with you totally!!! i am a little older than you, but the thing is guys our age (from 14- 25) are stupid immature meat heads women mature much faster than men do, so even when men are in their 20's, they're still acting like 12 year olds i think this is a sign that you are very mature i personally cant stand guys my age, and i always find myself attracted to men as late as their 30's they just have a lot more life experience, and they know how to take care of themselves and be serious, and they can actually hold an intelligent conversation

Uh ~ how old are you?

Of course, it's a normal phase to go through if you're young and naive. I went through it myself when I was 16, but it isn't healthy when this attraction turns into an infatuation or an obsession.

Please give yourself a little more time to grow. Go out and enjoy a bunch of extracurricular activities and paint the whole town red before you even think of getting yourself involved in a situation like this or even worse ~ getting your heart broken and setting yourself up for disappointment. It ain't easy to make a relationship work these days hon. It always takes two to make a thing go right. AND it takes a lot of maturity for a relationship to flourish. Good Luck!

Let me put it this way:

It is neither wrong nor unnatural.

However, acting upon the attraction is illegal for the object of your desire if you are underage. Also, while men may be attracted to you physically, it takes physical, emotional AND mental compatibility to form truly bonded relationships.

In other words, you may be attracted to a man and he may be physically attracted to you but if that's all there is to it, there's going to be no relationship.

Presuming you are of legal age, how would you handle it if you wanted to go shopping and the object of your affection had to attend a Board Meeting? On such small matters are relationships dependent, like it or not.

If you're 18 or under, I'd say yes. You don't have the emotional maturity to match "wits" with someone older - stick to what you know til you get older. Then you have consider sometimes older guys take younger women on a ride because of lack of maturity, experience. I didn't date someone older than myself until I was 20 and I dated a guy that was 30, but I think I was pretty mature for my age then too -- so let me rephrase you can be attracted but I wouldn't act on it.

That depends entirely on your age. As a teenager, I think 2-3 years difference is a lot.
