Absolutely, once my band and I were stopped in airport security for an amp. It was a custom job, and I guess they thought it was some kind of explosive. We had to track down our other instruments. My Fender was found in Australia. We were flying in from Ireland. Needless to say, we never flew with that airline again.

Hmm....why do you want to know? Yes, I believe they do, especially international, but I imagine with domestic security the way it is these days that they would x-ray domestic flights too.

Of course they do. All the planes hijacked on 9/11 were domestic flights.
