I have found American women to be generally overweight, selfish and shallow. I am considering a mail order bride. Does anyone have experience in this? I am not really interested in all the feminist crap either.

This is going to be long....
I am a mail order husband so the circumstance is backward but the results and the problems you will encounter will be generally the same.
My overall experiance has been positive but like any relationship you've got to bust a** to make it work.
First off that "Submissive" bit is BS. In most eastern european and oriental countries gender roles are where they were in the us in the early part of the 20th century. Men do this work and women do that work. This does NOT mean that she considers herself chattle it means that you take your Butt out and make money and she takes care of running the house. (This does not apply to educated or proffesional women. Many of the women who advertise for marriage ARE Bacculariats or of even higher education. They Will expected to be treated as equals.)
In marrieing a person from another country you WILL face the following problems...
1.)YOU are her only source of contact. She has elected to give up close contact, her friends, her family and everything she has known to marry you. This is going to put ALOT of pressure on YOU. Just this bit is enough to end alot of these marriages.
2.)If she dosen't speak english very well you will be facing short term communication difficulties and problems in the long term with her getting around independantly. (You'll have the chance to experiance this first hand when you go to meet her.)
3.)Like any other woman she's going to want to do things HER way around the house get use to it and get over it.
4.) If she's musulim or buhddist she's going to raise your children that way.
5.)She's going to expect YOU to behave in the manner and machiesmos of the men of her country. (This is one of those things you'll be dealing with regularly)
Yes any scrub can get married to a hot chick from a forigen country. But first you've got to go through an extensive reality check, kick out all the romantic and fanciful notions of 'Happily ever after' and be ready to bust your combined butts to make it work. Just like any other relationship. (It's the same book just a prettier cover.)

Latin American and Asian women are often favorites for men considering foreign women. Men have reported mixed results from going after Ukrainian or Russian women.

You're not alone - a lot of American/European guys feel the same way. Feminism has really made a mess of things. (A lot of content on yahoo answers is good evidence of this.) I think there are still a huge number of good American woman, but you usually have to get through some 'bad' ones to find them.

a few guys here from work have ordered form the same company. i can get the 411 and forward it onto you if you like. they haven't actually told me so, but i can hack into their computers at any point i like. you'd be surprised at some of the stuff that the programmers and developers view here at work!!
