You don't say where you are coming from.
You can get a six month work permit to work in New Zealand and you should be able to find a job during this time.
Your initial permit will be for 3 months (visitors) but you can go to immigration immediately (one in every large town) and apply for a further 3 months.
Only one person in the family will be able to get a work permit. NB. It will be given to the person who is going to be the applicant for immigration purposes, in other words the one with the eduction or skills.
The system works on a point system.
You will be given points for eduction
Work experience
ENGLISH
Age (if you are over 50 don't even both to apply)
You will also be required to have a full medical as the kiwis will not take immigrants who have an illnesses which will become a burden upon the country in the future.
Take a police clearance with your and a full birth certificate.
YOU DO NOT NEED AN IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY TO PROCESS YOUR APPLICATION.....READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF MONEY.
