giving his latest Nashville (Busch Series) guitar trophy to David Ragan's older brother that is mentally disabled? Wow, it was a good race and a great gesture by Carl that has now won there 3 times in a row! Just wondering if anyone else caught that. Sometimes drivers get a bad rap but they are some of the most generous and caring people in all of sports.

It was definitely an AWESOME deal.. Not Great, Not cool, Not Pretty good.. It was AWESOME. Even though he has those other Guitars @ home from his previous NASHVILLE victories, every trophy those guys EARN week in, and week out.. have to mean alot to them. And to give that up, and give it to Ragan's brother.. Well, He's just a damn class act!

Oh, I seen that. I thought it was very thoughtful, and it showed that Carl wasn't a selfish person. I think him and David Ragan are good friends and live fairly close to one another. When the raced in Charlotte I heard Carl talking about going to Ragan's house to pick him out and they drove to the track together. But I feel with that little boy having that guitar trophy, he gives him somebody to look up to (Carl) and also he'll always know that despite his disability, he will always know he has Carl as a friend and maybe even a role model. I know it made the boy happy.

Yes Carl definitely shows a lot of class in everything. Almost everytime you see him he has a smile on his face. As for the gift to Ragan's brother, I hadn't heard about it, but that was exemplary. I know it's off subject, but I just wish everyone had felt the same way when Gordon gave his tribute to Dale Sr after tying him. Instead he was shunned even more. Unfortunate. But yes, Carl is an awesome guy, and a great driver.

Carl goes to win all the races because he knows that there is no competition in the busch series. This explains why he went over 600 miles just to get to nashville to win the race.

Carl is a class act and is one of the top 3 in Nascar for charity work in my eyes, with Gordon and Kyle Petty being the other 2. All 3, do way more than their share in charity work.

That was a pretty stupid response GTR but anyway......I've had the opportunity to meet Carl several times and he is a very nice and down to earth guy. I live less than an hour from his hometown of Columbia,MO and he still comes down to our local track and races as much as possible. Best of luck Carl!
