Any advice to help heal my back injury would be great too, It's hurting for over a week now and I've rested my back since Thursday and its still not getting better. It hurts the most when I try to sit down or stand up, the bending motion.

When I hurt my back, I was prescribed 800 mg Ibuprofen (Advil) and Vicoden at the same time, so it should be ok. You should ice your back, rest it by laying down with your feet slightly elevated or at least bend your knees. Also, see a chiropractor-it may take several visits but it will help in the long run.

I think it's best to wait until at least 3 hours after you took the advil, then take vicodin and vicodin only. I think Vicodin is tylenol with codeine added, and you shouldn't double up. It likely won't kill you, but it's not doing your liver any favors. Wait if you can stand it, or call your pharmacist to be safe (unless one happens to answer here). I hope you feel better - good luck.

I hurt my knee one time and the doctor gave me an RX for 800mg Ibuproferin and Vicodin so you should be fine taking them together.

No, because they can react and cause an overdose.
Well, my mother has problems with her back, and her doctor said to use a heating pad and to maintain good posture so you don't strain yourself any further.

Since only one is a narcotic and only one contains aspirin you should be fine taking them close together.

Yes, you will be fine.

I would suggest visiting a chiropracter if it is hurting you for that long.
