Church, than how the Holy Spirit is explained in the bible?

Is it because that particular Church has a different Holy Spirit than the biblical Holy Spirit revealed in the bible?

Or is it just denying the Holy Spirit as revealed in the bible. Or is it just rejecting the bible as true?

the answer to your question is simple. everyone has their own personal interpretation of it. the bible is plain and true and it is for us to decide how to understand it. we all may teach it slightly different, but that is only on how we feel it or recognize it. the gifts of the holy spirit are numerous and works differently with each individual. i hope this helps.

The great problem that your question reflects is the failure to embrace tolerance for those of different opinions on religious matters.

Many different theologians and ordinary folk read the Bible differently. There is a range of potentially correct constructions of the Bible. That having been said, there is one objective right answer to what most of the Bible means.

There is one subjective right answer as to what the Bible means for every educated person genuinely trying to determine what a disputed passage means.

But there is not one objectively right answer for every passage in the Bible that is capable of identification by all educated interpreters genuinely trying to do their best.

However, the fact that there are disputes at the penumbra does not detract from the validity of the core message of the Gospels.

So there is not a different Holy Spirit, there is not a denial of the Holy Spirit as revealed in the Bible and there is not a rejection of the Bible as true.

However, there are people who do not make good faith efforts to construe the Bible. This is reflected by the Swedish Government's State Lutheran Church under the Social Democrats where the Bible has been re-written to reflect atheistic socialist dogma, because all persons, including atheists may vote in elections for the Church's "parliament".

Some things are interpreted differently. For example, many Christian denominations believe that God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are all one being and they are all spirits.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (AKA Mormon) is a Christian religion - notice the name - and we believe that they are three separate beings and that God and Jesus have a physical body. There is a different interpretation, based on scripture. BTW, we are not weird!

There are differences in how churches look at the holy spirit (see above) but I think many churches talk about how they feel the Holy Spirit and how it has helped them. I know that I have felt it and that it has made a difference in my life!

Let me offer a different explanation: various interpretations of the Bible are possible. Reading the Bible is an interpretive act. Religious groups claiming to believe in the literal word of the Bible are in error, because the Bible is not entirely literal--much of it is metaphorical.

Perhaps your own sect and other sects merely differ on your understanding of what the Bible says--rather than some of you being in accordance with the Bible and others not.

when the church split during the byzantine empire, two denominations were formed. then the protestant reformation and martin luther (the monk) changed everything. many denominations were formed because of the religious insecurity at the time. everyone was saying different things about the holy spirit, which roman sacraments to keep, and many other things. basically, just differences of opinion on god and religion. yeah what a news flash...

I wouldn't say it's explained differently. We believe that the Holy Ghost manifests itself the same way the Bible says: through a still small voice. Whether it be a burning or a remembrance of all things, we believe that that is what the Holy Ghost does. There is no deviant definition from the mainstream one.

Is this question directed to Mormons?
Mormons believe in, and study the Holy Bible - King James version.
Can you elaborate on how you think that it is different?

As a mormon I would say we have had several gifts of the Spirit.. Joseph Smith prophecies, Brigham Young spoke in tongues and yes someone was around to intepret. You don't speak in tongues for nothing. Someone needs to interpret. It isn't jibberish.

Different people interpreting differently is nothing new. I would read for myself and act accordingly.
