Is it fun? I mean, they can do whatever they want, without any rules and limits. There's nothing called sin, heaven, hell. So, how does it feel like?

I don't mean that atheist doesn't follow the law.
I'm talking about religion rules.

Empty, non caring, nothing matters, out for yourself, negative, and not very pleasant to be around from what I observed from being around atheist.

I think it’s extremely naïve of you to believe that there are no rules or consequences (or at least that I believe there are not consequences), but I actually used to think that way when I was a Christian too (when I was younger, years before I actually became an Atheist). I thought that if I became an Atheist I could do whatever I wanted and there was a part of me that envied that.

But now I know better. I have morals. I have to answer to myself. I could never be truly cruel to another human being because I wouldn’t be able to live with myself. I know the next question is inevitably “why be a good person if you don’t believe in god” and the answer is that I don’t believe I could explain that to you if you don’t understand already. If the only reason human beings are good is because they fear hell, then I am afraid for humanity.

We follow the same rules and laws as everybody else. An Atheist just does not believe in any gods or other assorted supernatural rubbish. It does not have anything to do with morals or ethics. Those things were discussed and debated by humans long before Christians hijacked the concepts for themselves.

We live free from guilt and the need to cower on our knees before any number of invisible flying creatures. Not to mention we have no desire to support the lavish lifestyles of bad toupee wearing, meth smoking, hooker paying pastors.

Are you an alien? It feels fine. It feels sane. It's sad that you can't wrap your mind around the concept. We have morals, just not religion. We still have to obey laws. You have some weird idea that we run rampant committing crimes and imagined sins. Believe me, we aren't stupid. We are probably more moral than people you know.

Religious rules? Could you be more specific. Most religious rules are the 10 commandments about stealing and killing, etc. Those are also laws.

Okay...each time you add more, you sound more stupid. I'm done trying to answer you.

Huh? Atheists still abide by the common rules of law and polite society, they just do it because it is ethical to treat other people well. I do not understand the belief amongst the Christian community that atheists have no ethics, boundaries, or limits to their behavior. The threat of Hell is not necessary for people to act well (nor is it sufficient to keep them from acting badly).

It is very empowering. However, not because you can do anything, society still places penalties on what is deemed sin. It is empowering because i believe that all the good things in my life are a result of my actions. I take responsibility for them. "God" didnt help me land a good job, it was all me baby. However it also means that all the bad things are my responsibility as well. Nothing is "gods will" it is all a result of my own actions. You cant change god which to me offer hopeless prospect for the future, however when you can say "i can do anything and its all me!" it empowers you to take control of your life and be the best human being you can

You would have to ask a Christian what it feels like to do whatever you want. They are the ones that preach one can do anything,no matter how horrible, and repent, therefore,"Get away with it"Most atheists I know realise we are it,and we better control ourselves. What does it feel like? Quite good, knowing I have no problems with conducting myself in society, that ,as proven by your question,my morals and standards are higher than those of christians, who feel they are too weak to act like civilized human beings without the promise of a god spanking or a god lollipop

I don't think it would feel any different,, I just think when I pass away I wont be going to some great place in the sky with some bloke who made everything. I personally believe in ghosts so I just believe when you pass you are still around in spirit. I suppose it must be nice to think you are going to go to a place called heaven.

well, being an atheist just means that you don't believe in any god. you could still do anything you want, it would just be against your religion (which apperently, isn't christian, i'm not christian either though.)
for me, it is more of my parents that want me to go to a temple, even if i don't aggree with all of the rules, they don't get mad at you, they just don't aggree with you.

but all in all, being an atheist is just a way of thinking.

Actually, I live under more rules and stricter codes of honor and ethics than most of the theists I know.

Nice straw man argument you have there. Put a tshirt on him and call him a scarecrow. If you have a wide brimmed hat for him, so much the better.
