God created human beings and he created commandments for them to follow...God did not create behaviours, or sexual idenity's or what color a person is, that is done through DNA biology (I agree with some science) so if people say GOD made me this way which I know really comes from the homosexual community, that is just going to give other people who want to say GOD created them a certain way to jump on the band wagon with this thought process.

Why can't you just say this is who I am ? God created me a human being and all other given to me BY GOD is Free Will?

God created us with wonderful potential.
Its bad choices that lead people to go the wrong way.
But we should be happy anyway....because God was so kind as to send Jesus Christ to make a way of escape for us...to help us escape from the snare of the devil ....and from sin.!

I think that's what they mean when they say it. They really mean to say this is who I am. Yes we all have free will but we can't help how we feel or what our interests are. We can't always act on our feelings though. Some peopel are attracted to underage kids, but despite how they feel or how they feel God made them acting on these urges is undoubtably wrong. the homosexual debate, however is a bit more hazy and harder to pin down the rightness or wrongness involved. It may seem unnatural to those of us who are not that way. In the case of the person having sex with someone underage it is wrong because the child can not give proper consent with a clear and fully developed mind. Two consenting adults though is a different situation and as long as both of them are willing and of proper age(and otherwise unattached to someone else) the situation changes. Why shouldn't they be able to do the same things heterosexual people can? This argument may not be resolved anytime soon unfortunately, but I hope this helps you realize that the homosexual debate is not black and white or in any way easy to identify the _right_ answer to this dilemma.

I agree with you in a lot of ways. I do think that statement, "God made me this way." is used entirely too much as a cop out and excuse for the inability to deal with certain behaviors or difficulties we all will in someway face. Indeed we are all born with Passions, be it whatever those may be. Some have the desire for alcohol, or talking a lot, or any number of inborn traits, desires, passions. It is important for all of us as members of the HUman Family, to remember that those appetites and desires and passions are to be controlled and used within the bounds God has set. Any deviation from that course is in no way, what God created, but what we choose.

I do believe and know that we are all capable of overcoming those things that do seem insurmountable. Giving into those passions and desires, be it homosexual, be it violence, be it extramarital affairs, be it pornography, be it any number of the innumerable things, may seem to be okay because it's the easy course. I would say take the road less taken. Be courageous enough to find the course God has for you. Don't superimpose your voice for his as he speaks to you either. I have done that time and time again, and it's just not worth it. As the author said, in taking that road less travelled, It makes all the difference.

The answer to your question is that when christians who persecute homosexuals stop doing so, homosexuals who say "god made me this way" will likewise stop saying that.
This would devolve further into the whole "is homosexuality a choice or is it genetic" issue, which really isn't your question. But since I mentioned it, I would like to point out that it's kind of foolish to say that Adam and Eve weren't homosexual, therefore no one can be homosexual by genetics. Reason? Because the assumption is then being made that nothing could have originated genetically since Adam and Eve, and therefore they were in fact carrying all of the genetically-transmitted diseases that we know of today- and they were not created perfect, as claimed.

My guess is that it has something to do with the fact the when homosexuals say this is who I am, Christians call them evil and make all sorts of silly, untrue claims about them. What I don't understand is the need for many Christians to try and disclaim things, like the endless variety of sexuality, that have been proven true over and over again.

God did create me.. and he created you. If your so into god then where do you think DNA came from? Where do you think science came from. The big G. I know god loves me for who I am and could care less about my sexual orientation. God doesn't care about frivolous human things like that.

I thought your God was the creator of all things. The Alpha and the Omega. It is very hard to understand your religion while it changes so much to suit your needs.
