Seriously. Think about it. God loves everyone, or at least that's what he said. I'm a bi Christian. Even though I do follow my religion, does that mean that God doesn't love me?

I'm a Christian. I'm not gay. Don't have gay friends or family (that I know of). And I still believe that God loves you. Homosexuality has all but been proven to be genetic, so I contend that you are correct. God made you that way. Who are we to question it? God loves everybody. Even if homosexuality is wrong, and I have my doubts that it is, so is intolerance and hatred. So why shouldn't you be treated the same as the rest of us?

That said, I'll share with you my own Biblical theory. Homosexuality comes up in the Bible in two places. One is when the Hebrews first left Egypt and started their new civilization. The second is Paul's letters: the birth of the early Christian church. Both of these times were times of upheaval and renewal. These were civilizations trying to set themselves apart from other civilizations that promoted homosexual promiscuity, and they were also civilizations that needed to "be fruitful and multiply" in order to survive. So I put forth that what God forbade was promiscuity, which could lead to bad relationships, broken families, and the spread of disease. He also wanted to promote procreation.

Today the world is over-populated, and homosexuals in the United States are no more likely to be promiscuous than straight people. In fact, they are fighting to be able to marry and have families, something that we straight people have not been so successful at. So how can we judge? It appears to me that the reasons that God forbade homosexuality in the Bible simply do not apply anymore, just like not cutting the hair over our ears or making women cover their heads. Times change, and I don't believe in an arbitrary, crazy God. There is a reason for everything. If the reasons don't apply anymore, logically they are not wrong anymore.

I won't say that as a fact, but that is how it appears to me.

God does not hate homosexuals. God does not hate somebody. God, inspite of the shown fact that, hates sin. He does not hate sin just to hate, he's wonderful and can't be close sin. each guy or woman is sinful, for this reason Jesus Christ have been given right here to die and upward push as quickly as extra. The question isn't, does God hate homosexuals, the question is, is homosexuality a sin? The Bible does prepare that intercourse is reserved for married heterosexual couples. the subsequent question could be, why could a gay be born meaning if that's in many situations a sin? each guy or woman is born sinful, no one is different. some are born with different inclinations than others. Homosexuals are not any different than another guy or woman in God's eyes, a member of His fallen production that demands redeeming. some persons % to stay as they have been born, as a sinner, and that includes many different persons different than lively homosexuals. God provides us loose will, and you will have the skill to undertaking with the point to and prefer your sinful nature, or you will have the skill to positioned up to the choose of God. i will not hate you and God won't hate you the two ability, although you have gotten chosen condemnation. Thumbs down me all you decide on, that's what i assume the Bible teaches and that i assume that the Bible is God's relatively word.

If God doesn't like child pornographers why does he make it possible to be one in the first place? I know that is a whole other issue, yet the principle is the same. I know God loves you. He loves you so much he sent his only Son to be your savior. He loves you so much he hears and answers your prayers. He loves you so much that time and time again as you come to Him, He stands ready to forgive and embrace you in the arms of His love.

The reason we all have these things to deal with is so that he can prove us to see if we'll do the things he has asked us to do. I do believe you are a Christian, yet do you think as you read the Bible and pray that God will indeed condone that lifestyle? I don't judge you and hope you happiness within the Lord. I think a lot of times we get so caught up in what we feel and desire that we fail to think about the bounds the Lord has set and mold our life and our Will to His. God Bless you and lead you.

To say God doesn't like homosexuals is not right, He doesn't like the sin of homosexuality, He would that those committing the sin turned away from it and to Him. He does not make it possible, that is of satan, He 'allows' it because He gives everyone free will to choose what path in life they take, either the one that will lead to perdition or the one that will lead to heaven and Him.

In all honesty, you need to 'seriously' think about it. God may love everyone, but in the OT He saw so much sin going on that He repented that He ever created mankind, that was before he destroyed almost all life on the earth with the flood.. and He destroyed two cities and everyone in them because of the sin of homosexuality. We are told in the NT to let what happened to them be a lesson to us even today.

God loves you and he can never stop loving you. You think he will stop loving you, that is not the case. What is happening is that you are choosing to reject God, and that is your choice.

Genesis 1:26
Then God said: "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and the cattle, and over all the wild animals and all the creatures that crawl on the ground."

Man is at the apex of his creation, No other creature has the ability to choose freely. Rocks, plants, animals, or angels don't have the ability to choose. Not even the angels have that ability anymore. Angels were given one chance to choose for God rather then against God. The ones that chose for God were sent to heaven and the ones that Chose against God were cast into hell.
Image referer to mans intellect, and likeness means to be able to partake in Gods grace.

It isn't that God does not like homosexuals,or bisexuals. Its that he does not approve of the the lifestyle of those who choose embrace it as a way of life.Just as he doesnot approve of fornication between heterosexuals. No one sin is greater than the other, all of us are sinners. But I can acknowledge what I do is wrong, and ask Him for forgiveness and his mercy and try to do better. The thing with homosexuals is most of them feel like its okay and there is nothing to be saved from or forgiven for.He allows situations in our life good/bad/an even worse so we will know to come Him for grace and mercy, for forgiveness. If we never made mistakes or were given choices what would be the point. He has given us instructions, and commandments to live by,just as your earthly parents have. They allow you to make your mistakes and find your way. They may not agree ,but just as they are there to pick us up,so is our Heavenly Father.

Yup, according to the extremer Christians, God thinks what you do is wrong. Buuut...I don't think it says any more explicitly in the Bible don't be homosexual than it does do not murder...any Christians who care more about homosexuality than murder probably need to sort out their priorities. God loves everyone, full stop, says the Bible. i tihnk its more "aspire" to be the biblical definition of "perfect" than actually "be perfect".
Also...why did he make it possible? So everyone could choose. I don't think He would have seen much point in giving everyone a life where there was no choice...it might mean a perfect world, but it would be a boring world.

Hi. I am a Bi Christian too. I have singled out the Christian / Gay issue as being one which I try to specialize in.

Many Christians take much of the Bible out of context and using poorly translated words to say that Gays are not saveable. This is false and not the message that Jesus brought into the world.

But on the other side of the coin, Gays have a tendency to deny the sin of it all. I find this is unbiblical as well. I will spare you the often used verses.

If any person, Gay or Straight, are drawn to know God, they are those who are chosen by God. The desire to come to God is placed by Him, yes even the desire to come to Him.

So God chose me. I have had Gay relations, and I am a sinner even though I have stopped having them. God knows me and He knows that my impulses are there, I have no secrets that He does not know about.

So we are sinners who are sinning regardless of sexual orientation. What impresses God is trust, which is pften called faith. So it is not as profitable for me to focus on sin, but rather it is more profitable for me to trust God. Focusing on God is going to get a person in step with God. Sin falls away as concentrated effort is sent into God's direction.

Jesus died for you . That is love! To become a Christian you have to acknowledge your sin and the need to be saved from it. Repenting and turning from sin is required. God does love you and hopes that you will turn from your sin and ask for the forgiveness afforded to you by Christ's death. Unrepented homosexuality is the homosexuality that the Bible is speaking of when it says "homosexuals won't enter the kingdom of heaven". Same for other sins, "murder, lying, ETC.We must repent and turn from our sin in order to be forgiven. A homosexual Christian is a falsehood, just as would be a Christian serial killer. God bless!!

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.
