I love the comment about the Bible being sicker than the games. So TRUE. As a Wiccan I have been told that my beliefs were all a bunch of supernatural BS. Have you ever read the Bible. Ghosts, Demons, healings , miracles, parting seas, rising from the dead. Who are you calling supernatural? As for games. Since when has this been limited to Atheists? I know tons of gamers from 6 yo to 72 yo. They represent all the religions I can name, and play all kinds of games.

I'm not an atheist and my kids play games all the time, i would think sir, that a computer is just the same as a video game and the only people in jeopardy of their souls going to hell are the ones judging others for playing a game. im not so sure why you focused this question to atheists? i think you are passing the blame on society being out of control on video games and that is nonsense. people make choices in life, either they are good or bad i doubt anyone stops and says well what happened on my video game before i decide to kill this person.......

That article said nothing about atheists. Everyone makes choices in their lives. It's a video game! Give me a break! Why not be mad about things that matter... like REAL violence and rape and murder and child abuse. Why worry about video games and people wearing wool????
As for your THIRD divorce, the only people to blame for that are you and your wives. Two people enter into a marriage and what goes on in the marriage, whether it be good or bad, is between husband and wife...

I am an atheist, but I agree with you that Sony made a mistake when they used that Manchester cathedral in their violent game.
Just because I don't believe that some God can hear you when you speak to him at night doesn't mean I don't have a sense of morality, or compassion for my fellow man.
However, I do concede that there are many cretins out there with no sense of morality at all, and it is a huge challenge to do something about it.
Then again, I think someone (like you?) who would deny some poor guy the right of ending a losing battle with cancer, solely because of his (your?) interpretation of some ancient Scriptures is also a cretin.

Sorry, Manchester Cathedral is a historic monument. The CoE has no right to make demands about its use, any more than the Louvre would have any right to make demands of a video game where fine masterpieces of art were used as target practice and one of those pieces was the Mona Lisa.

You don't play that video game, so you assume only atheists are? Not really the way it works. And I have to add that the violent video game about the end times put out by a christian group is not much better...

Well what makes you think an atheist wrote the game?
And lighten up. It is just for fun. I personally think that most of those games are stupid too, but I have better things to do than worry about the fact that there is a church in one of them.

I've known atheists who are more "Christian" than a room full of "God fearing" bible beating zealots.
As Jesus said; don't judge someone unless you want to be judged by the same standard.
I could just as easily accuse organized religion of hateful brainwashing practices, and other hypocrisies, which is a given fact.
Precisely why this Catholic no longer practices.

so a big fight occurs in a church and people die boo freaking hoo. Its a freaking game if you don't like it don't play it. You know what if the church of england needs to do something like this to get publicity then maybe it is a sign that religion is collapsing and what a glorious day that will be.
