my sister got drunk , my parent found out about it. one of her friends drank so much she almost died. my sister is only about 15 and a straight A students.im so disappionted at. right now im kinda just giving her the silent treatment. is that ok? how should i act around her?

Since when is it your responsibility to get all high and mighty around her. Her getting drunk did nothing to you so you should not be punishing her for it... that is your parents job. Get over your own self importance and show her that despite her mistake you are still there for her. EVERYONE makes mistakes...even you I bet!!

Are you the older sister? If you are, you are doing nothing to curb your sister's reckless behavior by ignoring her. The silent treatment is never a solution to a problem. Talk to her directly and let her know how much her behavior dissapointed you.

Tell her you love her, and you are disappointed in her behavior. Tell her if she wants to talk about it, you will always listen. Do not offer unsolicited advice. Make sure you tell her that you forgive her for being young and stupid. Ask her what you can do to help her never make that mistake again. Then give her a big hug.
