I just got rid of a mega-virus and got everything to run again on my pc, all except Internet Explorer. It keeps closing out and giving me an error message about being blocked by DEP or something like that because it was damaged by the virus. Anyone have any idea what I should do? I thought about contacting microsoft but it takes for ever to post on their site.

Download a fresh copy of IE7 from:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx

That should take care of the problem if it is indeed the case that your current copy of IE is damaged and that is what is causing the problem.

Download Firefox.

It's free, it's better than IE. And less likely to be targeted by hackers as i understand.

Alternatively download IE for free from microsoft.com and try reinstalling it. Better to try and delete it though.
