1. First ,always be neat and clean, showered, hair washed, nails semi short and clean.
2. Talk softly, calmly, with few hand movements.
3.Straighten out your clothes(rear) before sitting.(so they dont get crused or stuck in your behind)
4. Eat slowly with mouth closed and NEVER PICK YOUR TEETH IN PUBLIC! it is gross!
5. Look where U R walking, but tummy tucked in , head straight, elegant

1) Start with correct english. Read some good books.
2) Do everything gently. Never rush or hurry anywhere. It's not ladylike
3) Be kind to everyone - don't show a difference in the way you treat a homeless person to the way you treat the CEO of a company. Everyone deserves respect.
4) Learn to walk by balancing a book on your head. Shoulders straight, back straight. Think of yourself as gliding into a room.
5) Eat with your mouth closed. Don't talk with your mouth full. Take small bites. Elbows off the table.

Is it for yourself or for a project or essay on manners? If it is the former I would say u r wasting ur time, being a funny and nice person is far more endearing than trying to win ppl over with displays of manners. If u look around u will see that there are a wide variety of ways of sitting, standing, talking eating, -and there is no advantage to trying to emulate just one rigidly.

Manners For Women
Part One--As a Single Woman
http://www.literary-liaisons.com/article031.html
by Michelle J. Hoppe
It matters not whether a lady has a title in order to be called a gentlewoman.
Rather, a lady is identified by her behavior. Manners are a compound of spirit and form, and should be part of the education of every person of whatever calling or station in life. They know no social boundaries. True courtesy is the basis of all social conduct and can be learned by all. "Kindness of heart, of nobleness and of courage it true politeness of manner."
So what, then is a gentlewoman? And how does this translate into manners? Let's start at the beginning....
