No. I do not understand why you would want to. Children very quickly identify with their own gender; male children understand that they are male and that males usually pee standing up. I would not want to make my child different from other boys who use urinals.
If you are concerned about aiming; pop a ping pong ball into the loo and encourage the child to hit it with his pee. Amazing how quickly they learn to aim.

My training for the first month or so was sitting down until I could figure out which urge I was taking care of. Once that was over, I began to pee standing up. I only know this because when my ex-wife was pregnant and we though we were having a boy (misread by the radiologist) my mom told me how she trained me.
Societally there is a movement to teach boys to pee sitting down permanently. The two explanations offered are gender equality and the sometimes errant male aim. The gender equality argument is a non-argument as we will always be different and emasculating men won't solve for that. The aim can be corrected by teaching men not to be lazy jerks and getting them to take that extra second to lift the lid before taking aim. Emasculation is never the answer with boys.

I am mom to 4 plus I have provided child care in my home for 22 years. I've potty trained a lot of children, both boys and girls. I always begin the potty training process with the boys by having them sit on the potty. In the beginning, it can take quite some time before any urine actually comes out. Becoming familiar with the sensation of urination is one of the major hurdles to overcome. A little boy can not be expected to stand in front of the toilet for long periods of time waiting for something to happen. Additionally, little boys have little penis' so getting a good aim in those first weeks or months of toilet training is hard to do. Eventually the little boys do learn how to transition from sitting to pee to being able to stand to pee. Usually the daddies take over this job when the children are older. I have one little boy in my care right now who just turned 4. He goes back and forth between standing and sitting to pee. My grandson just turned 3 and he only sits. Everyone trains their children differently and it really doesn't matter how it's done. The goal is to be diaper free and learning to recognize the cues that it's time to pee or poop is the main focus and not how you manage to get the pee and poop in to the potty.

Actuallly, yes I do. Here's why:
I was talking with another mom one day and she said her husband had to clean the toilets in his house when he was young and found out that if guys sit when peeing, the bathroom won't smell so bad between cleanings because there is no splash outside of the commode. And it works!
So I had my boys sit when peeing at home, but I told them anytime they are in public restrooms, I would rather have them stand cuz of the filthy toilet seats.

Yes. I have a home daycare and potty tarined many children. In the first month or so its easier to get the idea across. Then when he's getting the hang of it we switch to standing and have fun watching the splash. I must admit that I allow the littlest ones to pee outside. They love it.

Oh Hell NO!!! The ability to stand and pee is a right that was given to all men at the moment of birth. The only reason you would do that to a little boy is ive you are trying feminize him

Wooderson; why would you teach them that, ask any women, they would rather just open a zipper then have to
pull down all their under garments, and make sure that the
seat is clean. We guys hhave it much easier

Why? Are some women so insecure, and so intimated by the opposite sex that they would try to eradicate any signs of gender? Poor little boy, being taught form birth that there is something wrong with him, because his mom hates everything masculine - including him.

Yes of course! That's how you have to teach them to start with, as learning to aim is a separate skill.
Teach them sitting down first until they have learnt control then get your partner to teach them how to aim.
