If God has always been here and didn't need a creator, why can't the same logic be applied to the Universe and Time and Reality?
Why can't the universe have no need for a creator?

But if God is the Universe isn't that anthropomorphising the universe?

And "God" forbid you quote the holy book.
I'm tired of long answers repeating the same old texts.

Prepare for a hundred Christian answers displaying a spectacular ability to avoid the question. You can't force them to think about this stuff, they can't really argue properly, they'll just repeat the word "faith" over and over untill blood comes out your ears.

Well actually anyone who hates God is dumb, but Evolutionism followers have to be following the most idiotic thing invented. I decided to take some time and discuss how ridiculous the myths from Evolutionism really where. Anything that comes from the Evolutionismists that is claimed to be evidence to prove their fantasy is wrong. It is wrong since it would prove REALITY (Creation) was false (which it isn't since the Bible says in Genesis 1 that God CREATED the Earth!).
Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
Jeremiah 32
17 Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

Amazing - one answer already - and they avoided the question!
God is an Eternal Spirit and does not live within the limitations of time. He does not change.
As for the universe - have you ever seen any part of the material universe appear from nothing? No, but with outside help it can.
Science tells us there are irrefutable "laws." One of these is the Second Law of Thermodynamics. It basically says that all orderly systems tend to wind down and become more disorganized with time. Thus far, it has no known exceptions. This applies to biological systems, as well as mechanical, and stellar systems. The reverse has never been observed for more than brief periods - and then, they also become like everything else.
This means that the universe was highly organized (at one time in the past - Creation) but is now winding down and becoming more disorganized. Biologically, scientists speak of genetic load - which means more genetic errors are being transmitted through our genes. This leads to more imperfections through succeeding generations of people. This is actually the opposite of what evolution teaches - we are supposed to be getting better genetically - not. It is what is to be expected, however, - according to the Second Law of Thermodynamics.

Good point... never really thought about it like that.
Regardless of whatever you adhere to it still boils down to things being unknown. For me it just makes more sense that some higher force whose always existed created life as we know it. I would suppose if God didn't create anything and evolution was 100% true, things would be a lot more chaotic. Plus, we would still be evolving.

Without order by God, the universe would have destroyed itself before now.

Because the steady-state theory has not been proven. The universe is not infinite, and has not been around forever. At one point, it WAS contracted to its smallest point, and it did have a beginning.
That's why.
