from a medium brown to a pink with just red hair dye isnt going to work. professional hair dye wouldnt fade into a pink but just go away as your hair grows naturally and your roots begin to show. if you want to go from a brown to a pink you have to have the color stripped from your hair and then dyed. go to a local salon for this and not just some ordinary great clips

You're not going to get pink hair from red hair dye no matter how long you leave it in. The only way to get pink hair from medium brown is if the hair is prelightened to a yellow color. Then you should go get some Manic Panic Pink and use that. If you don't take my advice you'll screw it up.

You will not get a hot pink from a red. I've had good luck with REDKEN Hi-fusion in violet red. You can only get this color from a professional. It would make the process one step...it would last longer than a manic panic. I put hot pink in my girls hair often and it fades to a blonde with hi-fusion. Hope this helps.

this red color WILL NOT turn your hair pink, unless maybe you add some hair bleach to your color. and even then your results are unknown. so always do a test strand to see what result you will get. it also depends on your natural hair color, any color thats on your hair already, and your hairs texture, porosity, and resistance. results very from person to person so im gonna say you really should get the pink color. this will give the best results, and there is no way of knowing the results with this red color. good luck!

whoever told you this will work needs to stop giving advice. red hair color will not even give you a bright red on med brown hair! in order to get what you want without damaging your hair to a point of no recovery you need to go to a salon! this will be a double process!

It won't turn into pink.
It'll fade into a nasty light red, especially if your planning to dye it straight onto your hair without bleaching it first.

won't work! you need to bleach it out first then apply pink NOT RED! go to a professional and do it right.
