Ok, so my two year old ( 3 in July) was doing really well potty training, then she went over to her grand parents and was scolded by grandpa for peeing in her undies. (old fashion and dose not know better.)
It set something off because now she will not wear big girl undies and tells me she is a baby. We were doing really well and she was proud of herself, now it seems that she lost the interest. I have tried a few things like rewarding her and telling her that it is up to her but she is all set and makes me put a diaper on her and if I don't she will look at me and urinate on the floor. I have just reached a bump in the road and I was wondering if anyone has any advice?

she has clearly demonstrated that you may have to wait a while before you do the potty again . she has been traumatized now and it will be a while before you can start again . Unfortunately grandpa undid all the good and now you have to start over . good luck .

little ones egos are so fragile and hers sounds like it was shattered. Poor little thing. I guess I would not push it. If she wants the diaper back let her have it and just shower her with love. She needs to put that negative episode in her past and then she will go back to learning.

and I would keep grandpa away until he learns better - old fashion or not.

Just give her some time. Use pull-ups instead of diapers just to make it easier for her if she decided to go again. Don't make a big deal. She's still little. Give her time to work past it, and just give her lots of love. Try not to nag her.

And you will definitely have to talk to Grandpa or limit unsupervised contact once you get her back on track.

Tell her to knock it off and that if she doesn't you will give her a spanking. Then if she doesn't get back on the straight and narrow, give her a spanking. Actions speak louder than words. Best of luck!!!
