A teleportation beam... Heaven isn't like the DMV (aka hell) where you wait for years on a stairway only to be told you are in the wrong line.
It is instantaneous.

Yes, there is. You have to know where to find the escalator, seek and you will find. Once you locate it, it will escalate you to heaven.
You can use the stairways as well, but it's a more painful way as you will be thinking of giving up before you reach it, as it's too tiring and takes a great deal of preserverance.

The old lady who bought the stairway sold it for a hefty profit to a property developer who decided it needed modernizing. Unfortunately, he got the advice of a tv presenter who suggested that he go even further and install an elevator.
He priced himself out of the market and now no one can afford the assent.
