goto MS office 2007. support website and ask there.. the geeks there will tell you,,, but first read the FAQ to see if the problem as be reported before

I believe you need Windows Vista in order to install 2007, which could be the reason for the invalid exe file.

try to check if your windows xp has service pack 2. i believe that office 2007 requires service pack 2 for xp. i have installed office 2007 completely in my MS XP PC.
