Hmmm... I didn't find AVG to be much help getting rid of a trojan I got a while back. The best one by far (as per some studies) is Kaspersky Antivirus. They have a full featured trial that I used and it was great. Yes, it's a control freak at the beginning, but as you "Cancel or Allow" things, it will adapt to your preferences. Great software for Windows or Linux (don't know about Mac. Of course, if you're on Linux you don't need antivirus :P )

the hottes antivirus out in the market sure is norton antivirus. i would recommend you to get it. look here:
