My cat Stinky has this gooey stuff coming out of his eye and when it dries up, it turns black. Does anyone have any idea what it is. This has been going on since he was like 5 months but he is still playful and able to eat. He is not blind or anything, nothing is wrong with him, just that stuff coming out of his eye.

Maybe Stinky has an eye infection or allergies. You need to take him to the vet just to be sure. He may need antibiotics. My cat had just a small discharge coming from his eyes during the earlier part of this spring. (probably from pollen), but it wasnt that bad and cleared up just as I was getting ready to take him to the vet for it.
Sounds like your cat has an ongoing problem that needs attention.

Ask the vet for some eye medication, like Tobrex drops 3 times a day for a week.
