Even though the world has warmed up and cooled down many times in its history, it has been warming up extensively. Global warming is not caused by the sun itself; if that were so, all hope would be lost. It is caused by greenhouse gases trapping in Earth's heat. Some argue that other gases in our pollution would dim out the sun, canceling out global warming. However, that is no longer the case as those gases are removed from pollution to meet government standards. Greenhouse gases are still being released. While many news sources try to equally release the opinion of scientists, making it seem 50-50, that is not true. It is not necessary, in fact, as science is not politics. There are very few skeptics among scientists(of course, stop bribing them and they'll agree). People, global climate change is not a matter of whether you believe. It is a matter whether you decide to listen to the facts or deny them. If you listen, it makes the problem easier to solve together.

As another note...
Some argue over the carbon dioxide levels increase. Previously, carbon dioxide was about 0.03% of our atmosphere. However, it is now about 0.04%. Some would argue that the increase is minimal. However, one must look at the percentages. 0.03 to 0.04 is a 33.33% increase! That's the same difference as having $1,000,000 and $1,333,333.33. Think about how much more you can do with $333,333.33 more.

About the plants, they need as much oxygen as we do. Plants only use carbon dioxide to store energy during the day, while at night, they respirate and use oxygen to release that energy. That plant argument was the same thing some other person used. As for the actual GCC vs. GW, yeah, I would agree with that completely. Global warming is not exactly global. It is technically global climate change because most places are getting warmer and,(excuse me if I'm wrong) some places are getting colder, actually. Anyway, this really all leads to the environment problem. Global climate change is not a myth, nor is it something that big politicians want to exploit. In fact, it seems as though a lot denial went around a few years ago among politicians for global climate change. Look now. Global climate change is being addressed by candidates. Look, it's not just Democrats who recognize it. Look at Terminator!
God, what a world some people are going to leave us(Generation X) with.

Your fairy tell leaves out this little piece of info. Most of the Documented warming took place before most of the increase of CO2. There was actually a significant cooling period from the mid-1940s to the late 1970's while co2 was increasing rapidly. In fact there has been no warming since 1998 an eight year period, and even a light statistically insignificant cooling despite the fact that co2 has continued to rise, so please tell me where is the proof that co2 is driving global warming?

You are right about the planet warming and cooling many times through it's history. This history covers billions of years. There is absolutely no proof that this slight warming is due to global warming. In the fifties , summers were warmer than in beginning of the seventies. Scientists were saying back then that we were in for a mini ice age. Have a look around and see if you can see global warming. Deserts still freeze at night. Where frosts are expected in winter, that's still happening. and why , because the skies are clear. There is as much CO2 in the atmosphere on a clear night as there is on a cloudy night. Proving that a gas cannot retain heat. and CO2 is a gas . I'm sitting here in New Zealand with a heater going while there's a frost outside and two months ago it was 26 degrees. Now if it clouds over during the night there won't be any frost outside in the morning. Proving that water vapour is the one retaining the heat. Co2 can't hold heat anymore than a pane of glass. We draw the curtains to keep the heat in the house. In Auckland , New Zealand, temperatures have been taken for the past fifty four years. Results are that the first 27 years the average low was 9 degrees and the average high was 12 degrees. The same is recorded for the next 27 years. A few years in between may have warmer and a few may have been cooler. This proves that not much has changed. Never mind what the scientists are saying , their data comes from computer generated models. You dig into actual recorded data and it blows this whole global warming out the window. Climate change I accept but this global warming is a scam . A scam to bleed millions out of the masses and prevent undeveloped countries from developing.
Don't take what you read in Wikipedia or government based or funded sites as gospel. They are just telling you what they want you to know. Facts I will listen to but predictions and theories are not worth the paper they are written on. Fact.. sea ice is melting at the poles and in Antarctica large lumps are breaking off and drifting up the coast of New Zealand last summer. The same happened in 1937 and nobody was alarmed then. Data outside of government influence shows no problem to be solve. I do agree though that if there is a way of improving and doing things more efficient I'm all for it just don't hit me in the pocket for doing so.

I agree with the points that you make and I guess this is a subject you've spent some time looking into.

You seem to have a sound understanding of GCC and as such the only point I'll elaborate on is the one you make about GHG levels in the atmosphere...

The three primary gases in the atmosphere are nitrogen, oxygen and argon, between then they account for 99.96% of the atmosphere but they have virtually no role to play in global cooling or warming. It's the 0.04% which is important and whilst this is only a tiny amount it's what makes our planet habitable, without any GHG's Earth would be 33 degrees C colder than it is (an average of -18C) and life would never have evolved. Even a 1% rise in GHG concentrations is going to have an effect on our climate, overall there's been a 39.8% increase in the last 250 years (31% increase in CO2, 16% NO2, 149% CH4, 100% CF4 plus the introduction of many gases that are totally synthetic such as the CFC's HFC's and HCFC's)

If you imagine the atmosphere is a bathtub full of water, add a few drops of food colouring and all the water changes colour. These few drops are enough to change all of the water in much the same way that a few drops of GHG are enough to change the whole atmosphere.

I believe that global warming is happening.
An increase of 1 degree F has been recorded in the past 19th century. There are signs everywhere. On Mt. St. Helens' top; it used to be completely frozen. You have an aerial view of it now and all you will see is water. Another example, one of the thousands of islands of the beautiful Bahamas is now completely underwater from the melting of the ice at our poles. Global Warming is also killing our coral reefs. Dying reefs will alter our food chains therefore messing up the order of the food chain. Believe it or not this will kill most of the life in the sea. This will not only affect the beautiful sites the earth has to offer, but humans as well. Dangerous heatwaves will kill millions of people in the world. Many of the crops that we depend on will die due to a drastic decrease in rain fall. Melting of the earth's poles is another factor of global warming which is deadly to humans because it will flood coastal areas which means major cities like NewYork City, Miami, New Orleans will be completely flooded due to premanent coastal flooding. If that is not enough evidence that global warming is happening, search global warming in google images and there is much more. You will see a whole bunch of depressing sites.

Don't believe the trash that some politicians are talking about saying it isn't happening. The only reason they say that is becuase if they don't they will loose profit on gasoline sales and won't make as much money using alternative resources that are non-polluting.

I know that this answer is similar to those that I have answered before but I wanted to state those simple facts you may allready know. Yes, as you said we can stop it so eveyone reading this answer, WE HAVE TO MAKE A GREAT EFFORT (consisting of all nations cooperating with the effort) TO SAVE OUR PLANET. The earth's life will almost completely die off if we don't act now.

The summers are actually not getting warmer and warmer. I bear in mind after Katrina 'they' (NOAA) stated that from then on there may well be more advantageous and extra wide-unfold Hurricanes hitting the gulf. more advantageous? Katrina replaced right into a CAT 5. type 5 = extra suitable than one hundred fifty five mph winds finished roof failure and a few development failures; enormous evacuation; flooding reasons substantial harm to diminish flooring of all coastline homes. in accordance to the Saffir-Simpson typhoon scale there is not any such difficulty as a typhoon more advantageous than CAT 5 till the mass of the earth will advance and its relative place to the solar transformations. that is basically not available. It replaced into very nearly 3 years after Katrina earlier any form of typhoon hit everywhere on the U. S. coast much less the gulf. the 1st one replaced right into a CAT3 and grew to alter right into a tropical typhoon 6 minutes after it hit North Carolina. Your vid is an person-friendly manipulation of information and risk, not meteorological technological know-how. That aside, of direction climate is changing. international warming? I choose it have been genuine! provide up and consider the possibiliy that a warming climate might relatively be a competent difficulty, because of the fact it incredibly is. have not you ever puzzled why Canada, the 2nd greatest u . s . in the international, has much less human beings than California? With some international warming, there may well be no such difficulty as over inhabitants. With international warming, we could feed billions extra. yet, i'm confident you are the form that could like extra sparrows than human beings. i will pray for you.

I believe. As an engineer I can see the truth, its all in the numbers. There is no doubt that we are altering the environment with pollution. I do disagree with a lot of the predictions of the timing of events that will result from a warmer Earth. Its happening at a much faster rate. It is snowballing. I hope that it is not to late...

There isn't global climate change. It's all a lie being exploited by people trying to gain power mainly socialist minded people who don't believe in big business. Mainly democrats because they would love to raise taxes on people who pollute. The reason so many scientists agree with global warming is because they depend on research dollars and no one is going to say it doesn't exist when powerful people are speaking out saying it does. Now of days people are getting weird with the environmental and anti-war movements, but all I can tell its all liberal minded people who believe whatever there own people say.

I don't need to "believe" in global climate change. Based upon the sheer weight of the evidence, any reasonable person can only conclude that climate change is a fact and that the present rate of warming is a direct result of manmade processes. I don't believe. I know.

U need to recheck your data as GOD put plants here to take care of that terrible CO2 which the plants need to stay alive. The plants need the CO2 as much as u need oxygen. So if the plants started shouting down on your oxygen ,does that make u think. Now look at the molecule of CO2 and there is 2 atoms of oxygen and 1 atom of Corbin. So if there is as much out there as u think the oxygen should of dropped.
