I'm going to buy the new Polo S model, 1.4 75ps 3door Automatic.
Does anyone have this? What is it like (good & bad points)?
It comes with a mounted stereo, can it be taken out of the car when I'm not there?
The car can be opted to come with a alarm. Does anyone know how long the alarm will go on for, before automatically shutting itself?
Thanx soo much. I need some help with this, and anything else you can tell me is helpful. Its also my first car :)

Hello. Well to be honest I wouldn't recommend the Polo. My friend has one and really doesn't like it. Her's is an S model also and I really couldn't believe that such a new car could still be without remote locking! She has to open the door with a key...my four year old basic Peugeot 206 even has a remote! The seats are less comfortable than having darts thrown at your back and the whole thing just feels dark. The stereo is inbuilt and cannot be removed...no chance of a theif taking it. On the plus side it's a solid car. That's all.
I checked the price of the S model and for similar money (£10,780 to be precise) you could have a brilliant Citroen C2 1.4 Automatic Stop & Start. This model comes with ingenious features such as REMOTE central locking, automatic air conditioning and parking sensors! Stop & Start is Citroen's new environmentally friendly technology which makes the engine cut out when you come to a standstill, you then touch the throttle as normal and the engine starts in something like 0.02 secs. Plus, Citroen are offering great deals which mean you could get this car, brand new, for as little as £9,000 if you haggle a bit. The C2 has comfy seats and a cute design.... consider it... it's alot less back aching than its german rival!
Good luck with whatever you buy!

The stereo isn’t designed to be removed and is coded to the car making it useless without an unlock code in any other car.
Depending on what has set the alarm off as with any other car it may resound after the 30-second reset. (a broken window is picked up by ultrasonic sensors wind, change in pressures would trigger the alarm. however for hot days when the car is securely parked (drive, garage) Volkswagen do provide the driver with an option to swith the ultrasonic off also good if you lock the car with passengers or pets in the car)
If you can afford the extra go for the SE mode (SE is the Comfort model), which comes with an alarm as standard plus extras. The polo is a tough good all-round car and will hold its value. Where a 3 year old polo might be worth 50 - 60% of it value after 3 years the Citroen mentioned by another person may only be worth 25 - 33% of it sales value (does it still seem a good investment?)
One extra that is worth the money is ESP (electronic stability programme) under adverse road conditions or violent steering inputs (swerving) will keep your car on the road.
If you don’t need an auto consider an Urban Fox (Which is based on the Polo) with sliding rear seat great for extra leg room when carrying rear passengers or slide it forward for that large shopping trip.

The built-in stereo is designed to be difficult to remove quickly (and useless in any other model of car) - that is a more convenient theft-prevention method than having one that comes out easily (which would be stolen the first time you forgot to take it with you).
The alarm will shut off after 30 seconds - EC regulations insist on this, so all modern car alarms do the same.

nicely the clicking value the VW optimal. on the 2nd Ford pricing is costly. there is hearsay that Fords are thinking dropping many automobile costs. in case you purchase till now that then your automobile fee will drop like a stone afterwards. Be very careful in case you choose the Ford.
