Anyone can answer. But I'm particularly interested in men that live in the same household as one or more women. Guys, do you put the commode lid down after you are done peeing?

The guys in my life leave the commode lid up. I like leaving it down - and in fact, I put the lid down before I flush. I've heard the water mist can spray well above the toilet seat...

I just moved in with my boyfriend a few months ago and that is one habit I have to break him of. Actually, he needs to put both the seat and the lid down since it seems the dog would prefer the toilet water to her water dish. Growing up, I had three brothers who pretty much refused to even lift the seat so that it would always be soaked.

If I'm showering, the lid goes down, and my clothes go on top, if not, the lid stays up. My brother's pretty good about keeping the seat down.

I leave it down and my husband and sons leave it up. That's never been an issue for me. I can just as easily lower the seat as a man can lift it.

The commode lid is always up. We don't make use of it to sit.

I have 2 restroom and the one in the bedroom my boyfriend leaves the toilet seat down. The other restroom he leaves the toilet seat up. I barely uses that restroom.

I always close the lid. I am female. I agree with the other poster in that water can spray everywhere.

Every time i use the bathroom to pee i have to lift the seat, so it fair if she has to put it down to go
