I DO NOT KNOW! I want to walk up to them with a wet rag, and wash their faces! I don't think women realize they look like BoBo the clown's little sister BeBe!

Well not all women pluck them completely off and draw them. Many of us (most of us actually) Just pluck away the ones we don't want to make our eyebrows thinner and mske them more shapely.

However, some women don't like to spend time plucking a few hairs away in the morning, so they often actually wax the entire brow and just draw it on. It gives them more freedom as to how they want their eyebrow to look. It can look tacky if it's not done well, and in my opinion, it's higher maintnance, but they can have their eyebrows and shape, color, or length.

So it's not really pointless, just not natural. And keep in mind, most women do pluck their eyebrows, but most of them don't go the enitre way

And there will always be women who should pluck a little every once in a while, but choose not to. |:D

I don't pencil mine in, but I do pluck to keep them looking good. You pluck your eyebrows to remove stray hairs and define (or redefine in some cases) the shape. Some girls need to use an eyebrow pencil, because their brows are thin and sparse, or they are light colored and they need to be defined. I think that is acceptable use of an eyebrow pencil.

But when they overpluck or shave or wax off their eyebrows and then have a line for an eyebrow, I think it looks ridiculous. I don't understand that. It look unnatural and kind of scary.

What happens in the rain or if you get sweaty? Do your eyebrows wash off? And what if you can't draw them symetrically? Do you just walk around with one higher than the other? Don't even get me started on girls who get eyebrows tattooed on......

As a woman I totally agree - pointless. I do pluck mine, but dont do the pencil bit - it looks really tacky when women overdo it and there are no eyebrows left whatsoever, just a pencil line!!

Well unless, it's an unfortunate mistake, that one tries to pluck ones eyebrows oneself, instead of going to a professional, then one - like myself :-) - might end up having to draw them until they grow back, I see no point either...

As long as I have got a pair of tweezers, I pluck the stragglers to make my brows tidy. But pencil? No!

I'm not sure because it doesn't look natural. Might be that they pluck to much out by accident. I pluck mine but I just tidy them up a bit and keep them natural shape.

i agree! its ridiculous....i mean plucking is fine nobody wants messy eyebrows or a monobrow! but you can easily pluck them or wax them in the shape you want there's no need to get rid of the whoel thing and draw them on. It looks fake and tacky...surely they look scary when they have no make up on therefore no eyebrows??

They do that to get the exact shape that they want. When plucking, it's hard to get the exact hairs that you want out, so you take more than neccasary, and draw the rest in, so it looks like what you want.
