I think you are supposed to get married in the white dress then have the kids - but I'm not Catholic so I could be wrong... But I think about 10% of Catholics getting married in white these days are virgins anyway - just lie your way through the whole thing.

I don't quite understand your question. Be a bit more precise, please. If you think that your First Holy Communion was mumbo jumbo - then don't do it to your own kids. I consider it for what it is - a very holy sacrament portraying Jesus' gift to mankind. I take it that you were a little virgin in that white dress when you received it at around the age of 8 or 9. If not, that wasn't your fault. An adult who receives First Holy Communion does not usually wear a white dress - which in itself does not mean that she's a virgin - it is more an outward sign of cleanliness of the heart and soul - which also goes for brides these days - and not for virginity. I think that a clean heart and soul are the least a person can bring to the altar during a sacrament whether it be the sacrament of Baptism, Communion or Marriage.

Your question isn't at all clear..... Most brought up in the Catholic faith have thier first communion at six or seven. (well, in our small country church it spanned about 6 to 8 in order to have a large enough group together for that sort of thing) How does a six year old at first communion get mixed in with being married with kids? At six years old, I would certainly hope she's a virgin? To have all the girls dressed in pretty white dresses, and all the little boys in ties at first communion and confirmation ceremonies makes a pretty ceremony, and before the first communion ceremony, the children have also had thier first confession as well, so I guess they wear white as a symbol of spiritual purity, as near as I can remember, the boys wore white shirts also. Apart from that the uniformity is part of the ceremony, they also required all the girls to wear white dresses at my graduation from high school, and all the boys wore white shirts and ties, but I don't think anybody got married that day..... (unless a couple did something they shouldn't have on prom night, and decided they might as well while they were dressed up or something....LOL)

You can't physically be that virgin, but you can live your life in a righteous way and be "pure" in your heart.

There is a theory of time that says time is not a line but a single point. You can look at any point in your life, or all of it if you like, and pull the feeling, the emotion of that time out. Sit and really try to remember the feeling of your first communion, the unknown possibilities, the awe at something greater than yourself.

If you can recapture those things, you can return to a more virginal state in your own life. That's the best you can hope for.

Even if you were brought up catholic, surely by the time you got married in your white dress it was your choice to do so?
And if your virginity was lost to a catholic priest before you even did your first communion ... i'm really sorry.

Huh? Write me and expand your question you should not take your faith so lightly saying mumbo jumbo this and that, it is an insult to God. Do not fall in line with the faithless that line leads to the pit. Like Jesus said a blindman leads a blindman and they will both fall into a pit!
