I'm taking a universalist approach to the metaphysical principal (sometimes called God). The monotheist take God to be The One, but Hindus see that God can be broken down into literaly billions of lower Gods. So taking away the window dressing of churches or temples, what is the metaphysic principal?

See the thing is although it seems that they say there are many lower Gods in the Hindu culture, thats not what it actually is....
"Lower Gods" as you call it are deities (angles if so to say), beings with extra gifts or powers that "help out" God.

They are not Gods, Brahma, is the one true form of God..

I believe and maybe its seems odd, that how we like to express ourselves so does God, his expression we can see in our different races and how each person is made unique.... so to he has/may have express himself in religion and being human (needed to classify, define, and group things) we separated what was meant to be one (our different cultures) and classified them as religion (Hindi, Tamil, Christain, Islamic, etc.)....

Maybe its just me, maybe what i've said just doesn't make any sense at all...

God is a delusion common to almost all human cultures. No two cultures have the same god, and individual cultures have fractured views of god within themselves (there are many incompatible versions of christianity for instance) but there are similarities between all god systems.

Most interesting of all I think are the cargo cults of the South Pacific, which give a practical demonstration of how a nonsensical religion can spring up incredibly quickly.

Therei s no metaphysical principle at work - it appears that the cause of religion is a side effect to otherwise beneficial genetic traits.

god is your conscience and mine and the next persons.
all these people say gods the creator and god does this and that...come on people!
all the good books are a guideline to life, over different countries this is obviously gonna be conflicting because of the vast array of cultures.
you don't do bad stuff cause your conscience says no, not GOD....
i dont believe in a power above but i have a conscience and i'm a lot more christian that some of the church going hypocrites

God is the creator of all things. Obviously, not all religions believe in the same one God. I think deep inside everyone connects with the thought that there is a higher being or source that controls it all; whether that be aliens, God, Allah, Buddha, etc.

A supreme power which has dominion over all. He created the universe and has infinite power. Has always been and always will be. He makes the rules :P I sorta see him as a game creator, we are playing in this thing he has made, we have to abide the laws he has written in code such as the laws of physics. However he can go in and change those laws whenever he wants.

This earth, our galaxy and the universe has a force that has always been and always will be. There are as many universes as there are grains of sand on a beach. No one created this, it's much too big for that. We have always been and will continue to be forever.

I think that there is ultimately one Divine intelligence, but it is too big and vast to wrap a human mind around, so we as a species break it down into personalities or facets to give us something to relate to.....

There really is a God and he is one. There's no metaphysic principle at all beyond that.

Hindus misunderstand God and try to reshape him in their image.

The idea is not universal. There were several isolated tribes that didn't have them at all.
