India is Great for the following reasons:
Baring aside the hard facts that are in any general knowledge books or encyclopedias, India is Great because it the cradle of several religions of the world. Mention may be made of Hinduism -- the oldest philosophy (not a religion) on life; Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism and hundreds of beliefs of the millions of people that dwell in this fantastic area called India.
This cosmopolitan nature has made the Indians generally more humble, and tolerant towards fellow human beings.
India is also Great because this is one place on earth where you can have a feel of all the climatic regions on earth. India has deserts, tundra-type of regions, barren lands, monsoon washed plains, rivers -- perennial as in those in north and NE India and also the seasonal ones as in those in South India; coasts (over 7000 kilometres), natural hot springs, gurgling streams and tropical as well as deciduous forests.
India is a cultural cauldron as well. Besides the rich cultures, heritages and folklores, there are traditions that are well preserved by the Indians.
India is also Great because it still has its roots in tradition. For instance, family is still considered sacrosanct. In fact, India is the model for many western societies for sustenance, morally, ethically and spiritually.
India is successfully juggling isms, western (Occidental) materialism and eastern (Oriental) wisdom!
Now the bare facts:
India is an emerging tiger in the global economy. In fact, as per the purchasing power, India is the fourth largest economy in the world; at the same time according to the exchange rates she is the world's12th largest economy
and the fourth largest in purchasing power.
India is the most populous liberal democracy in the world.
India is geographically the seventh-largest country in the world (3,287,263 square kilometres).
India is the the second most populous country on earth after China. Steps are on to optimally cut down the mushrooming growth of population through democratic means so that the people themselves come forward to accept the family planning strategies.
Hence, India is Great!

This is not a history lesson assignment I hope that you are making everyone give you the answers.
Anyways india is great because it has shown the world the truth. Yes the truth.
And the truth is difficult to digest.
I am just reading a book right now written by a muslim about Islamic terrorism where he is trying to tell a different story altogether about the terrorist activities. All lies.
People have become such dishonest individuals having hurt the innocent india for the longest time known.
Now the best way is to put the blame somewhere else and escape accountability and punishment.
India in the whole of her history has never hurt any other country or stolen land or killed people. She has always been forced to accept the terrorism of others in the name of tolerance. Today hinduism in india is finished. The muslims made sure of it. The west and christianity made sure of it.
It is a long story. But this is some brief out of all the agony of India.
India is great.

in case you look at how India replaced into split up after the British left, you will possibly comprehend that the two provinces that are hotly disputed could be in India. Britain left the choice to connect the two Pakistan or India as much as not the human beings of the provinces, yet as much as the prince of each province. the two princes of the disputed territories have been Hindu, at an identical time as maximum folk of the human beings have been Muslim. as the two princes did not the two abdicate their power or convert to Islam, the Pakistan military attacked, inflicting the two princes to assert they like to connect India. It replaced into purely then, the UN intervened. From my Indian historic past type, a nicely-liked determination vote may well be observed the completed withdraw of the Pakistan protection tension.

What is your question for? India is great for one reason, God Himself, Krishna, descended there 5000 years ago and performed beautiful pastimes, in order to attract the conditioned soul who are suffering in this material world and canvassing us by going back home back to Godhead. Therefore the whole land is blessed, and the holly places are there in that track of land. Also, all the great sages who posses great wisdom about the Absolute Truth appeared there. Besides that, is just like another country.
