My computer said i had low disk space so i just decided to delete some programs and deleted the ones that i was unsure of which i shouldn't have and after that i tried playing some songs and the audio won't play. You can't hear anything on my computer now. I deleted some kind of software for audio. And i have no clue which software it is. It says that i am missing a audio codec and what is that? Please help me get this software quickly so i can REDOWNLOAD it. Thanks :)

When your disk space is low, don't delete programs. Use Add/Remove programs from Control Panel. Assuming you are in PC with Windows, what you should be deleted are:
1. Your data files which are not important anymore.
2. Internet cache, can be accessed by "Tools>Internet options" menu in IE. After a dialog box appears, click "Delete Cookies", "Delete Temporary Internet Files" (including offline content), "Clear History".
3. All useless files. Click "Start>Search" and type these queries one at a time (without quotes): "*.tmp" and "~*.*". Search also for any files (*.*) with zero bytes.
4. Empty Recycle Bin. If you use Norton, clean the protected one too.

Now about your problem. It seem that the audio driver had been deleted (that what ELfaGeek meant). Device Manager can be accessed by right-clicking on "My Computer" icon and select "Properties". Click on "Hardware" tab in the "System Properties", then click "Device Manager". A question sign at the left of an item indicates a missing driver for that device, hence the device will not be active. But sometimes it is hard to solve the problem in this way, because Windows might not be able to identify the device. So here what you have to do:
1. When you buy your computer, did you get all the manuals and, especially, installation disks or CDs? If you have them, get and install what necessary. If not, take step 2 or 3.
2. Do you know what and type of your computer—something IBM xxxxx? If you do, surf the net to browse your vendor to download all drivers you needed (refer to its specification or what is missing in Device Manager). If you do not know, take step 4.
3. Go to your friend who owns computer just like yours and ask for installation disks or CDs. If failed, take step 4.
4. Open your PC and try to identify the vendor and type of your sound adapter (sound card). If succeed, search and download the driver from the net. If failed, go to nearest computer service.

Good luck.

Look in the Device Manager, it sounds like you deleted some device drivers.

Right-click on My Computer and choose Manage > Device Manager. If you see Yellow or Red flags, you need to re-install the drivers.

Re-post with hardware details for more help.
