I want to install an amplified Bazooka tube (that I haven't purchased yet) into a boat that I just had a JVC HD Radio Receiver (KD-HDR1) installed in. There are 2 RCA plugs on the back of the head unit for a sub. Do I just need to plug the bazooka tube into those RCA's to make it work, or does it also need to be connected to power and/or any other wiring that needs to be done? Circuit City wants $75 to install it, and if it just entails plugging in the RCA's and running the wires to make it work, I can do that, otherwise I may need to have them do it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It needs to be installed just like any amp. You need to run a power wire to the battery, a ground to the battery since the boat is fiberglass and has no grounding points, rca and remote turn on wire to the radio. I have worked on several boats and they are not difficult as long as you can run the wires easily.

It's similar to any other amplifier installation. You'll need to run RCA cables and a remote turn-on wire from the subwoofer to the head unit. You'll also need to run power and ground wiring directly to the battery.

Note that most amplifier wiring kits are designed for use in a vehicle, where the ground wire can be attached to chassis metal near the amplifier location. You don't have that option in a boat, so you may need to buy an additional length of wire for the ground. Your ground wire should be the same thickness as your power wire.

Take your bazooka tube, wrap it in Det cord and stuff about 1 lbs of C4 into it, wire a lined det link about a mile long, blow it up. Get something better

Just like they said, it's just like installing an amp.
