Usually someone who takes such a stance does so simply to take or try to take the conversation to some other level where meaning once again comes to life. They have been around and around the circle of fire so many times and all the sagging and mental genuflecting and... oh how boring it can get. Usually he will accept you calling him anything just as long as it isn't this morbid swallowtail cockle-do-do-day like a rocking chair your sitting in. You you have a lot of movement but you don't get anywhere. There are many who feel this way and are desperate to find the answers through verbal expression but even so how far can you really go when you can find nothing more unless you want to find the same thing again over and over and round and around and for some any chance to get off is a chance to enjoy something different for once.

God never made religion - man did. So, if you believe in God, the One and Only true God who created all things and believe His Word to be Truth, that Jesus came here to reconnect us with God our Heavenly Father and Creator - then you are called a Believer. Simple as that, the rest, under the canopy of religion, are just names of types of religious denominations and sects embracing a particular aspect of what they believe about God. When you know the truth, the truth sets you free, and God can give that to you. He made you, put His Spirit in you, and wants to have a relationship with you, not with religious entities, but individuals. If religions all over the world stopped, and concentrated on what the Bible says about who we are - created by God, what our role is - to love Him above all else, - to be His ambassadors - love people - don't condemn, care for people - help the helpless, give - stop the obsessive selfishness and we wouldn't have the poverty around the world, and finally trust - trust that since He created us, He also has a plan for our lives. Just like an inventor creates something - it is for a purpose - not a random exercise. So that's it - not religion, but faith, trust, and belief in God and embrace His ways to be a reflection of Him.

I believe in God, but I don't believe in religion. Jesus had set us free to be no longer bound and have us follow all kinds of laws and rules to be saved. I believe God doesn't believe in religion, He didn't create that, it a man made constitution.

Hmmm, let me think. Maybe a.....Goddian or a Goddafarian. You could always be Goddish. You might even want to come up with your own religion, such as Goddianity or Goddyism. Any of those, really.

One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism. I'd call them AGNOSTIC. As they do not belong to a religon but do not rule out the existence of God.

that depends on the characteristics of the particular god.
he is obviously a monotheist. Now, he may be a deist, or something else entirely.
