First of all, I will say that this question isn't to debate whether Christianity is true or not. I believe in Jesus Christ, that he died to pay for the sins of all people, and through grace I am saved. That's just a starting disclaimer to keep in mind.
If you look at the history of Christianity, you will see a history of Christianity overcoming the obstacles thrown at it. When it began, the first believers were former Jewish people who turned on their religion and were breaking the law. However, unlike many other cults that existed at the time, Christianity thrived and grew. It spread around the world and had the biggest impact of any religion. It survived when Muslims were spreading their faith and when the church became divided. So, why do people think that it will die now? Is it because of science? It might not be able to provide definite proof for the existence of God, but it cannot disprove the existence of God.
Looking at all of this, how can that assumption be made?

I guess I should explain a little more about how Christianity started. Yes, it started as a group of former Jewish people who turned against their religion and were breaking the law. However, these people had everything to lose by making their choice. They could have remained Jewish and had a good life, and not chose to broke the law. However, they truly believed in Jesus Christ and chose to give up everything to follow Him, even if it lead to death. Why give up everything if you don't really believe in something?

Because education correlates with a decrease in susceptibility to religious belief, and education, on the whole, is likely to improve rather than deteriorate.

We have replaced our worship of God with the god of 'science'. People are desperate to erase the concept of God. That way, we don't have guilt, or fear of Hell for the bad things we do. We can carry on our lives, do what we want, and not worry about it.
Evolution is the fastest growing religion in the world. It is NOT science, but is in the clever disguise of science. Science built the computer I am typing on, created the electricity to run the computer, and developed the Internet to transfer information.
Evolution is a collection of data that can be interpreted to fit any scenario you want. There is MORE than one theory in evolution. Which one is right? Every time some new fossil is found, and turned out to be a hoax, or badly flawed, it is conveniently swept under the rug, or passed off as the 'evolution' of evolutionary theory. give me a break, and they say Christians have blind faith. The high priests of evolution speak from their Ivory tower " HEAR O PEOPLE! We have a NEW revelation! FORGET about our old revelations! So let it be written! so let it be done!" The mindless masses prostrate themselves before the evolutionist's ivory tower and shout in chorus,"So let it be written, our masters! Thine will be done!"
Evolution is the biggest hoax perpetrated against the human race, but people are desperate to believe it, because the don't want to believe the alternative: Christianity.
If all the BILLIONS of dollars being wasted on the 'study' of evolution went to other LEGITIMATE sciences, we would have had a cure for cancer by now.
This is why people think Christianity will die out, but it is not Christianity that will die out, it is evolution. Ethical scientists are leaving the evolutionary camp like rats leaving a sinking ship. One creationist taps his little hammer against the bastion of evolution, and their whole tower threatens to come down because they NEVER had any competition. You believe in evolution, or you are a BLASPHEMOUS HERETIC.
You are right in saying that the concept of God cannot be proven in a laboratory, and neither can evolution. They are BOTH faith based belief systems.
People blather and say "If you knew science you would know it is all testable." HOGWASH. If this is so, then why are SCIENTISTS quitting evolution? Are they nuts, or are they fed up with LYING?
What is wrong with this picture? Can't there be any other theory of origins?

Because they're still living in the Modern/Scientific Age.
They fail to realize that science cannot solve the problems of this world. On the contrary, while it has solved some (e.g. in medicine), it has created more (e.g. global warming). They make science their god.
But we are now in the Post-Modern Age. While this philosophy essentially states that there is no absolute truth (and therefore does not support Christianity), one implication is clearly, "Live and let live". That is a much better environment than some that Christianity has survived.
It will survive !!

Well said Brother!
Leslie Badham in his "Verdict on Jesus" - well worth reading makes the point well about the "test of durability" as he calls it.
"Time and again as a meteor brightens the sky and then falls back into the darkness, it has seemed probable that Christianity would share the mortality of other movements. But every decline has been answered by an unexpected resurgence of power..."
He mentions that Christianity was born in the Roman Empire but survived beyond it; the Dark Ages failing to extinguish the light of the gospel; Christianity disentangling itself from feudalism; and the many-coloured lights of the Renaissance.
"In most ages," he says "there have been some ready to write its epitaph".
"Is Christianity then, like a leaky ship going to sink lower and lower in the water until it takes its final plunge? There are times when one might think so were it not for the philosophy that comes from a long view and we can see how time and again it has recovered confidence and found renewal."
I commend the book to you - I think you'll enjoy it my friend.
A long answer I know but I thought you'd like the quote.

actually I don't really know. this is a very sensitive n difficult question. I went to church last time but I've stopped. This was because ppl there was very unfriendly n I didn't have much frens there. but other then that I feel God really exist cos' He responds to ppl. n He responds to ppl. although I dont go to church now I still believe there's a God for Christians. However, during my time in church God never talked to me or anything so I also felt that like God wasn't there but I dunno y I still feel there's a God.
I don't feel Christianity will die out as its one of the most popular religion actually I think its the most rite? In my country, its the 3rd most popular I think after Buhddism n Muslims.

It's a question of how much time. Christianity is 2000 years old. Give it a few more centures or millenia and it'll be gone. Even if it survives right to the end of human civilisation it will die off when the species goes extinct.
There was a time when Zeus was a "real" god too you know.

Remember that 2000 years is a fairly short period of time in an historical sense. Belief in the Egyptian pantheon or the Hindu gods were both significantly longer-lived.
Christianity made a bunch of promises that were vague enough that it wouldn't ever have to deliver.

Many people are simply sick of going to church, either because it is boring or it is a big waste of their time. Now thanks to science and eveloution more and more people are seeing another simpler and less time consuming form of 'religion', which is not a religion at all.
Less and less people are in fear that god will punish them for deserting christianity. And many more people think it is stupid to talk to someone who 'doesn't exist'.
Religon is a explanation of life, if other explanations are out there which are easier to follow, why chosse chrisianity?

Other religions have come and gone, there is no reason to suggest Christianity is anything special, or that it will survive when others haven't.
